Like another poster said, I'd recommend covering the nipples with something more nipple friendly than just tape. You can get nipple petals at Walmart, drugstores, online - tons of places! As far as actually taping the dress down, I'd go with a strong, double sided tape like Topstick or some wig tape (I prefer single pieces to rolls, personally). You can get wig tape/Topstick and petals at most beauty supply stores.
I have used both Topstick and wigtape for my wigs AND pasties for years and never had one slip off. Even after hours of go go dancing, everything was still firmly affixed.
I'd also contour around and between the boobs. Because they deserve to look as glorious as possible!
Another solution to holding the straps in place at your shoulders and along your back would be toupee tape. I'm a burlesque dancer and use toupee tape to keep my clothing in place while dancing and even use it to keep my pasties (heavy, very rhinestoned!!) on!
My typical wear time is about 6-8 hours, with a lot of sweating and movement. I just make sure my skin is dry and lotion free when I put on the tape and I've never had any issues with it staying on.
