Note that the T430s and T431s are very, very different machines. Grab a copy of the Hardware Maintenance Manuals (HMM) for both models to see the difference:

Since yours is a model 20AA, it's definitely a T431s. According to the FRU parts listing there's an optional 24GB M.2 SSD (FRU 45N8479). That's an M.2 2242 SATA SSD, physically smaller than the common M.2 2280 SATA SSD.

this would do the job. the only well know brands i could find are ADATA, Transcend and Toshiba

You cannot use NVMe M.2, only SATA M.2, so it is not any faster. 2242 SSD would be impossible to find now at reasonable price, since no one make those anymore.
