I think this PC is your best bet. I spec'd out a PC on partpicker and the best I could do is $729 for the similar specs (16gb ram, i7-4970k, etc)
Considering it's a refurbished unit I'm sure it'll have a decent warranty.
Like Josh (kaos) said, you'll want to upgrade to 16Gb of ram (fairly cheap) for best performance. If you are going to be moving files from your home machine to work machine you might want to buy a SSD link.
