The way I would solve this is with a POE powered switch. Something like this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00J8NAWZ8/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1

And a POE injector like this one: https://www.amazon.com/TRENDnet-Ethernet-Injector-Distances-TPE-115GI/dp/B00BK4W8TQ/ref=pd_sim_147_2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=W53PRR3RAEXCHYP9E100

You can use the switch where ever you like and use the POE injector to power it from one of the cables on the "remote" end where it is located near a power source.

If you need more information, let me know.

Honestly, I'd just get an actual injector. It should provide plenty of power and correctly inform the camera, assuming the camera is a 3at class device.

Be aware, though, there's been a number of cameras claiming to work on 3at power that actually require more than some devices can provide. In those cases, the only reliable solution is to use the 60 watt, slightly non standard injector that came with it.

I got this Ubiquiti 48V adapter

But I guess that's not PoE+ so I should get this Trendnet PoE+ instead?

I have these lined up for MR18 deployment. Went with POE+ just so we can upgrade to the higher tier APs, if needed, in the future. Supports 802.3at and 802.3af.

Okay, thanks.

If there wasn't available power in the campground, would this PoE injector, This AP, and this Cat5 work as my solution?

TREND-net GigE PoE+ Injector

This one is slightly more expensive than other options, but its PoE+ (30W) and uses a standard PC power cable, instead of a brick.
