I'd suggest doing something like this:

Buy this awesome wine carrier. You can fit two full sized glass bottles in there (wine, most normal liquor bottles),, or fit a wine and a few cans of beer, or if it needs to be cold, one wine and maybe throw in an ice pack or two.
The front slot has a corkscrew, two plastic but pretty decent wine glasses, and a couple reusable napkins.
Carry it with the handle.

That said, there is some sort of state regulation or whatever in DNR that generally prohibits alcohol in state parks. I'm sure it is a combination of our state lawmakers and state government generally hating fun as well as keeping insurance costs low. The few that do have very limited ways of serving it such as at dining areas. Because part of the Canal area is White River State Park, it is probably technically illegal in that specific area . But I have never seen a DNR officer at WRSP at all so I'd say you're in the clear.
