If yours does not work. I slice the zucchini length wise so they after are a quarter inch thick.
I saw someone use a vegetable clip once, something like this. Maybe if you clip the wafer/cucumber to the wall they already love eating on, they'll just stumble across it and develop a taste for it. I have no idea if it will work though. Plus, that clip is pretty expensive for what it is.
