According to the spec I think PD requires USB-C on both ends. That's why there are chargers like this one that have 2.4A charging on the USB-A port and PD on the USB-C port.
I just use an old charger at work since I can leave it plugged in all day. Even at home I rarely need fast charging, but it's nice sometimes. If fast charging meant that much to me I would have bought a OnePlus 5t.
If you don't need really fast charging all the time, use the Apple charger. It'll work fine and may even put out 1.5 - 2.4 A, so it won't be that slow.
fn + esc works on mine to slow the fan.
I had problems with my charger not working, but the guy who sold me mine had put a 3rd party Anker charger in instead of the original.
Most chargers I've gotten don't charge it, but I bought one that works perfectly:

Incidentally, it only seems to charge with cords that go from the usb-c slot to the usb-c slot of my onemix. cords that go from the regular usb slot to usb-c won't charge it.
