I've been using a similar USB hub to this one. It works great and can connect everything I'd like.

With this, your mac will be one cable connected to it for both charging and connecting to the monitor as the charger connects to the type c dock :-)

I hope to make some enjoyable content for you and spark some ideas! - speaking of my first video with the webcam kill switch includes how to mount the switch to the underside of the desk (which would be perfect for the USB hub - item 1.
