The only way to do 4K@60 is to do Thunderbolt > DisplayPort. You cannot use HDMI.
So if it’s a newer iMac, with USB-C, then this cable from Amazon will do the trick. If it has Mini-DP, then you’ll just have to use the same setup you use for your MacBook.
No worries. I use this cable: https://www.amazon.com.au/DisplayPort-uni-Thunderbolt-Compatible-More-Gray/dp/B07CL31FR6/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?keywords=uni+usb-c+to+dp&qid=1572077101&sr=8-3
But the one you sent should work as well tbh, since it says it would also be "compatible" with tb3 whitch doesn't mean that it won't work with USB-c.
Just ordered this:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CL31FR6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Those specs all seem to match up upon further inspection, just going to use that instead. Much appreciated. I will provide follow up if it DOESN'T work.
I uploaded a quick video showing my Problems:
https://1drv.ms/v/s!Ahvzm2KsHoCWgeAIEGTBxW9JaE3_UQ?e=nvIrfo
In the video, the laptop is connected to the monitor via usb-c to displayport ( https://www.amazon.com/-/de/dp/B07CL31FR6).
As can be seen in the video intel graphic control panel only opens up if my laptops internal display is active since it does not recognize the external display.
Also it can be seen that i cant change any settings for multiple displays in the nvidia control panel since it only recognizes the external display and sais one display has to be active.
..
So no matter what i do i cant get the external display to run with intel HD graphics.
Maybe that was the issue, I was using this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073HBZ43B/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Will this work?
