A Bic works, so does your Zippo. Butane is the favorite as it avoids imparting fuel flavor.

Cedar Spills

This is the purist's prefered lighting method. You look and feel cool doing it, and the cedar provides a pleasant aroma.

Cutting

Guillotine/Straight Cutter

Most popular method, don't skip out on cutters so you don't destroy your cigar with dull blades. Anything $5 and up is great.

Punch Cutter

Provides a tighter draw and focuses the smoke to a smaller area. Not for everyone, preferred by some.

V Cutter

Cuts a valley straight across the head of the cigar. Tighter draw than a straight cutter, more open than a punch.
