> The Oculus Rift is not like a brand new 4K TV
Yeah I don't get how TB can say "we have people that wouldn't blink at $2000+ for their bigscreen TV" when you can get a very nice 4k 43" Vizio for $600 or less: http://www.amazon.com/VIZIO-M43-C1-43-Inch-Ultra-Smart/dp/B00T63YUTE
Like give me a break TB. If I could buy a $2000 TV without an issue then this $600 Rift wouldn't be an issue either. Completely different people buying these products and comparing the two is straight up asinine.
Yeah that was my main reason for getting it. I originally got the Seki but it only did 30Hz @ 4k. There was noticeable lag when moving the mouse even on the desktop. On the Vizio though it's perfect. http://www.amazon.com/VIZIO-M43-C1-43-Inch-Ultra-Smart/dp/B00T63YUTE/ref=sr_1_1?s=tv&ie=UTF8&qid=1458702818&sr=1-1&keywords=vizio+4k
I have a 43" 2015 M43-C1. You shouldn't have any issues with 4k but it doesn't have HDR10 so no HDR support. I had my PC hooked up to it and play 4k games all the time. HDR hadn't picked up any steam when these TVs came out so it was kind of a non-issue at the time unfortunately. On mine all inputs support 4k@30hz but only input HDMI 5 supports 4k@60hz. HDMI5 is the clear choice but just so you know. HDR support isn't related to 4k support, they are separate things. Easiest way to see this is just to go to video output and you should see 4k as an option regardless of anything it says about HDR> As long as it says "Your TV supports 4k resolution" up top you're fine. You can find more technical information about the TV here.
The M43-C1 has an actual refresh rate of 120. That's why you look for TV's with "240hz" http://www.amazon.com/VIZIO-M43-C1-43-Inch-Ultra-Smart/dp/B00T63YUTE
You can hook up your antenna signal to your projector, you just need to buy something like this which converts the coax signal into HDMI.
Well, with a budget of $2000, the best you can get for a quality tv at a large size is Vizio's M-series at 70".
Also, since you won't likely see a difference at your distance, you can get Vizio's E-series at 70" for $1250 at Best Buy.
This looks to be one of the cheapest (and also highest rated as far as the actual panel goes) 4K TV's I could find period. 60Hz, thin bezels, HDMI input, decent design, (relatively) low price, and 43". Hope this helps

Here's a 1080p/144hz 27" and a 1440p/144hz freesync monitor that would fit in your budget. If you want a 4k 60hz TV this 43" has good ratings but is $500

Not a great monitor, but a really solid TV. You can find them on sale often for pretty cheap. Nice black levels, contrast, and solid color reproduction.
