How much do you want to spend?

I bought one of these tabletoke setups and started playing around with the various online services before settling on Karafun. I wasn't really happy with using my soundbar for the vocals so next I bought a cheap PA from monoprice (a bit easier to justify this since I do sing outside of karaoke but always rely on bandmates PAs).

I also connect my wired stage mic when I have parties because some folks prefer that and we can have two wireless plus a third wired mic.

In the end I found the best setup for me was running Karafun on my Pixelbook, chromecasting the screen to my large screen tv and using the laptop for selecting songs (plus the remote app for guests) and running the audio through the PA.

For some $300 may not seem like a "budget" set up, but it was roughly the equivalent of one 3 hour weekend night private room karaoke rental, which is something I do at least once a year. And I get to sing all night and not worry about whether my guests show up on time and alcohol is a lot cheaper at home. So basically after my first party it had paid for itself.

At some point I may upgrade the wireless mics but I do like that I can also connect these to anything without needing pro audio equipment for karaoke on the go.
