In the case of White Zombie, it looks like there are different distributors for different versions of the film. This is the Prime version, and this is the non-Prime "Restored Edition." The studio for the Prime version is Victor & Edward Halperin Productions, but the studio for the Restored Edition isn't listed.

Amazon makes deals with distributors, not specific movies. So if there are two different distributors, there will be two different listings.

Part of the problem is that Amazon lumps in Prime content with non-Prime content, but there's a strong incentive for them to do that, because it gets people to buy/rent more movies. So, that's probably how it will always be.
