HA! Wow I never thought I'd get the chance to share these memories....

In elementary school I had a best friend and we were both obsessed with wrestling. More specifically, I was obsessed with The Hardy Boys and Lita :) We would make collages out of their pictures in WWE magazine... I had the Lita bobblehead, Jeff and Matt action figures, and while everyone was filling their binders with Pokemon and Yugioh cards, I was collecting WWE cards. And also playing the old-school video games..I had Jeff's entrance dance memorized xD

Every week like clockwork we would watch Monday Night Raw together, and during this time The Hardy Boys were rival matches against the Dudley Boys, and man did we get into the story lines. She was able to get her hands on a Hardy Boys DVD that we watched over and over and over, and it was then I realized the reasoning behind Jeff's eccentric style. He's also an artist and musician, and I loved him more for that. So much so that my mom gifted me with tickets to a show and I got to see Jeff Hardy fight! It wasn't a taping though, and she considered buying me stock in WWE as a gift also. I wonder if she ever regrets not doing so, haha.

As the years went on, I moved away and we still called each other every Monday night to talk about Raw that night. Eventually Jeff left Raw, Matt went through a weird Matt V2.0 stage on Smackdown, and I stopped watching when they forced some silly marriage thing between Lita and (Kane, I think?). I had had enough at that point. When I heard Jeff was the new posterboy of TNA I watched for a while, but he wasn't the same Jeff I grew up with and loved. I think I had just grown out of the sport.

Now, the story behind this necklace: As I mentioned, my bff was subscribed to WWE magazine. In one of those magazines they were selling the Hardy Boys Team Extreme necklace, but it was thick silver beads and the charm was silver. I loved it because A) Hardy Boys, and B) My name starts with H, so it was perfect and after a few days of saving my lunch money, I was allowed to order it. I loved that necklace more than anything. One of my friends at school begged me to let him borrow it for one night and I gave in reluctantly.

The next day at school I started a huge fight with him because he was avoiding me and never gave me my necklace back. Teacher got the parents involved (because I was hysterically upset) and it turns out he broke my necklace :( Shit, I'm getting misty-eyed remembering it now. I had that necklace for maybe all of a week :/ Anyway, they don't sell the original necklace from what I can find, but I like the one I listed because purple is my favorite color. It's $15 but has $5.49 shipping, which I certainly wouldn't mind covering. This was just the first and only thing I could think of because of the memories. Thanks for the contest!
