Not stupid at all. Making ur own shirt might actually make it more special to you and it would bypass red bubble. Maybe instead of using a computer monitor you could print out the logo in the desired size, make a stencil of it, then just fill in the stencil with a dye pen:

Obviously having one professionally made would be nice too, alls I'm saying is it's not a stupid idea:):):)


Edit: Also, might be a good idea to separate the front and back of the shirt with cardboard while filling in the stencil so none of the dye bleeds through
