1. Sherlock Holmes: The Complete Collection. The only fiction that I could re-read it without finding it boring or predictable.

2. The Post-American World. This is the book that shaped my understanding of contemporary foreign policy from an American perspective. I believed that my counterpart will gain an insight about my thoughts on major international conflict by reading this book;

  • Freedom Under the Law. This is not really a book but a lecture delivered by Alfred Denning, the then British judge. In this book he laid down his legal philosophy regarding to how freedom is a commodity that should be cherished by individuals while state should be very careful in regulating it.

    3. With Reverence and Awe: Returning to the Basics of Reformed Worship. This book outline a compelling argument that I can't ignore: worship ultimately is broader than singing psalms or hymns to praise God. Also, I am attracted to the idea that liturgy during the Lord's day service is necessarily dialogical - it is a dialogue between God and His people. In essence, this book introduced me to Reformed understanding of Regulative Principle of Worship.

  • Principles of Conduct: Aspects of Biblical Ethics. In this book I became increasingly aware that ethics issues can be intrinsically linked to our understanding of the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ.

    4.1 Probably NIV ed 1984. It is easy to understand for a seeker.

    4.2 KJV. Language used is beautiful
