yeah, thats not going to do you much good. i personally can use the foot gauge pretty well, but if you are having issues, an accurate gauge is worthwhile to have. i use my gauge in the winter time to make sure im low as i can get while still holding a bead.

this is what i have. but anything that lets you read down to the half lb down to 2 or 3lbs is good. forget about the ones that have the little stick that shoots out the end(pencil gauge).

Thanks for the info and suggestions! Im deffinitely not looking to up the power just yet as this is my first bike and im sure i can grow into it for quite some time before im looking to up the power.

That being said a fuel tuner seems like a great idea simply for the longevity of the bike and also upgrading exhaust and intake in the future.

Do you suggest any efi optmizers specifically? A quick search has me thinking the EHS one may be the way to go but the HMF one is another option, but seems 'cheaper'. Any thougts?

Hey sorry was on mobile before couldn't type much. The bearclaws and OG mudlites (stucklites or pluglites depending where you live) just are old thin sidewall tires and their performance is severly lacking.

If you are trying to stay in the $250 range, check out these sunF tires. They're a bighorn knockoff. Biasply instead of radial. Only 6 ply but they're much thicker and stiffer ply than the kendas I ordered years ago (sent them back). They also make a zilla knock off. Are they as good as the originals? No probably not. But will they on a light quad like that? Absolutely. Theye bighorn knockoffs are probably going to be my next set in 28s because they dont' make an OG bighorn in a 28"s for 12s.

Just dawned on me, you might actually have the original 10" wheels on that. In that case you might want to look at something like this.. Though I would seriously consider buying a set of delta steel 12"s so you could run any tire you want.

I am about to purchase some of the MASSFX Claws for 2 of our atv's. My son's already has a set of duro power grip tires pretty much identical to yours and they have been a solid tire the few times we've had it out since giving it to him at christmas.

These are the ones i'm going with.

Went with these

Much brighter, still probably going to get some additional lights once I get a front basket finished from my welding class to get some width to the lights, these are pretty streamline.

On the small-ass batteries you're going to find on ATVs, it doesn't matter. I use a Battery Tender Jr. on my Recon 250. Works like a charm.

I found a local shop to mount them pretty cheap, so cheap it's not really worth the hassle of me doing it myself.

I'm going to buy these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07RW54Y2B/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=ACW8M2QXR07XT&psc=1

Are they the bearclaws you're talking about?

u/jdhunt_24 · 3 pointsr/ATV

they are vent lines. the only line carrying gas is the one from your gas tank to the carb from there the carb does all the work. theres either 2 or 3 lines on the carb that just vent. also if the gas is turned on and you put the atv on the back bar it allows the gas to run out and onto the ground. you can look at this one on amazon and see the lines on it
