Sorry I missed you earlier, here's what I used to get the tower discretely away in the corner and set up the triple monitor setup:

• 10' 3.5mm to RCA cable (your extension cord may need to vary depending on what you use for speakers)
  
  
• 4x usb M/F extension cord 10' (These are for plugging in my keyboard, mouse, phone connection, and a spare for usb sticks without having to plug into the tower)
  
  
• 3x hdmi cable 10' (for plugging in the monitors, be sure to check your connection options as your graphics card / cards may need a different connection)
  
  
• Vivo Triple Monitor Mount ( This is the trickiest part. For me to mount 3 heavy 27" BenQ monitors, this was a relatively inexpensive option. The stand is well built, and looks and moves well, but the weight of the monitors is difficult to mount without any sagging. Also, 27" is the absolute max size this mount will work for, and even then my viewing angles are a bit lacking. I would recommend Locktek's EXCELLENT mounts for neutralizing this issue, but they are vastly more expensive. Weight wont be an issue though. For me, the issue was not a big deal so I didn't splurge on a pricier mount.
  
  
• Cable management sleeve (so that you can tuck away all those cords neatly)
  
  After that, you can have all peripherals at your fingertips and tuck the tower away into a corner. If your space is carpeted (and even if its not), be sure to keep the tower slightly elevated off the ground to allow for good air circulation.
  
  Definitely not dogma but that's what I've been using, and it works well thus far. Be sure not to skimp on the length of your cords, when your hiding it it will need to snake around a bit under the desk.

Not OP, but I have this couch and love it. It's great for a tight space and reversible. I got the dark grey and it's actually blue, fortunately the blue looks really good in my space. Good luck in your couch search!

awesome! and yes very impressed - I love the Phaidon series of pretty much anything and will (sometimes reluctantly) spend the outlandish prices for them - even things like Fruits are fun to put out for when guests are over

You can use this site to play around with the arrangements of the living room. Just plug in the dimensions and go nuts!

Personally, I like having all seats facing each other - so when people are all over, you create a social zone for everyone to enjoy together. A nice coffee table placed center on that carpet would allow you to put your feet up, and add a bit of storage and a place to put your beers :-) Definitely throw that sitting chair next to where you have the TV, for starters. Play around with the placement!

Head over to Home Depot or some such place with a picture of your cabinet handy. I'm thinking brass fixtures would liven them up a bit, and Home Depot has a pretty wide array of choices. Also, look into accent lighting. I've found that dark kitchens lit only by fluorescent lights get a bit depressing. You don't have to go crazy - maybe just replacing the fixture will help add character.

It was super easy to setup myself, seems very sturdy so far, and the price was great! I personally picked this one because it has the footboard, so now I don't have to deal with the mattress slipping off the bed.

I'd recommend that if you pick this up to use a drill and have a set of bits for allen wrenches. It made things suuuuper quick and easy.

Not sure if it's your thing, but removable wallpaper could help.

Not sure how big the room is, but if it'd be too expensive for removable wallpaper, you can get a large rug and decorations in complimentary colors. Rugs, furniture, and tapestries can make a huge difference. Here's a picture with some colors that compliment mustard.

Not OP but I have been dying to tell people about these drill bit brush heads I bought to clean my bath/shower. They are incredible! I use them to clean everything now! Counter tops, stove/oven, fridge, etc.

I got a set of 3 for about $10 on amazon. They come in different levels of bristle hardness. I got the all-purpose ones (green), but I think I will get the heavy duty ones too just for tougher jobs.

Definitely agree. Putting two big potted plants by the corners would be a big improvement. Something like Swiss Cheese Plants or Umbrella Plants. I'd also hang something up behind the couch/bench to keep it from looking so industrial. I think I'd hang bamboo blinds like these, and then hang a good sized mirror over them to add depth to the space.

For anyone curious, they’re actually designed to be used as computer speakers. I had a pair for that purpose and they sounded pretty amazing for the size and form factor when paired with the included sub. They’d certainly sound much better than TV speakers in this setting.

I wanted something else in the room to be a different texture and since this room is so small, a regular area rug wouldn't work. These things are pretty versatile too, can throw em over a chair or on the bed itself just to mix it up. Plus, fluffy!! :)

Very good. This is a good example of incorporating your interests into the design of your place and making it look put together.

If you wanted to make a slight tweak, putting gallery lights onto the frames would give you a nice indirect lighting source for the room and really bring out the posters at night. The track lighting is a little harsh, so those along with a cool floor lamp by the couch would make the room look real good at night.
