> Also, don't expose them to too much play in the heat.

Very much this. They're determined and will often over-exert themselves while playing or on walks.

I bring a small water-bottle and a portable water-bowl for walks in the summer, that will help keep their throats wet and not quite so raspy. Hard panting can cause their narrow throats to get inflamed, which then restricts the breathing more.

You can also splash a little water on their chest/throats to help keep them cool in warm weather.

I've got two bulldogs and these have lasted a long time. Some of it is that they tend to not go nuts about these unless I'm actively playing with them.

However, THESE and these surprisingly have lasted months now and my guys both are crazy for them - especially the orange one. Don't bother with the treat inserts after the first ones though, they pop right out and just get eaten whole.

All natural, and Linus loooooves it. Pricey though.

I used to get him Royal Canin because thats what the breeder had him on, but since ive switched all his skin issues have gone away.

Unfortunately he already has a bald spot on his tail, and even the best food in the world wont fix that :(

I feed out of a wobbler or a mushroom, i would highly suggest these over a slow feeder, unless maybe your dog is really senior. There are a variety of slow feeders, ranging from ones with a simple ball placed in the middle to ones that are quite tight and like puzzle map, you will only know what your dog can do by trial and error. Mine definitely can get in to small creases, but she has a very short tongue and so anything long (like a PB jar) she really can't get through. And yes, my dogs face would be flat against it.

This is the restraint we use. With sometime four in the car, this is quick and easy to put on them.

A safer, digestible alternative to rawhides. I like the stick type but they make bigger ones.

This happens to my english bulldog. We've never gotten a straight answer as to why, but somedays it looked like he pulled a muscle. Some days got so bad he couldn't put any weight on his back leg.

After a few vet visits that turned up nothing, we started giving him Salmon Oil in his food. http://www.amazon.com/Grizzly-All-Natural-Supplement-Pump-Bottle-Dispenser/dp/B0002ABR6E/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1405375839&sr=8-1&keywords=Salmon+oil

He has only been "sore" once in the year that we've had him on it. Worked for us.

Our frenchy hates it while its going on but is relieved afterward.

The pug has an extensive face-rubbing and scrubbing routine she does on her own, she rarely needs intervention.

We use a product called Duoxo, with chlorhexidine 3% for the Frenchie.

Haha! I'm surprised she fits!

I used to have one that we bought especially for dogs. Here's a pic of my bully in it. https://m.flickr.com/#/photos/supadoggie/2922522535/
