Hey man I do this too and I got a few tips for ya. If you're not using 90%+ ethanol you need to switch right now. Your pills will have much less chlorophyll (making it easier on the stomach) and other undesirables that may or may not hinder absorption. Make sure you freeze both the ethanol and flower for 6-8 hours before you do your rinse.

Additionally, for trim you only need to agitate the solution for a minute or two and then strain immediately, as the larger surface area of the trim means that the oil will more readily mix with the ethanol than chunks of flower would. You'll also get less crud this way. If you're using CBD for pain relief or another ailment, consider doing a shorter, partial decarboxylation, as CBDa is another very useful cannabinoid.

I use a [pill sorter I got off ebay for <$15] (https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2545226.m570.l1312.R2.TR10.TRC2.A0.H0.Xca.TRS2&_nkw=capsule+filling+machine&_sacat=0) that helps tremendously, as well as a reusable glass syringe for filling. I used to make pills quite a bit up until recently, now I carry a bottle with an eyedropper in it as it's portable and I can dose fairly accurately throughout the day. I'm also getting a buchner filtration kit to purify the extract further.

One last tip, if you're worried about the psychoactive effects of high doses of your extract (I know exactly what you're talking about) try adding terpenes like Myrcene and Beta-Caryophyllene. I use those two, plus limonene and a/b-pinene. Those have drastically reduced my experience of being intoxicated and made my extracts much more tolerable.

Good luck bro

It's very easy and you don't need anything special!

  • 2 cups ground coffee (freshly ground/"good" coffee makes a better cup!)
  • 4.5 cups water (filtered is good, but no biggie. I just have a fridge filter so I use that)

    Option 1:

Get a tupperware/non-metal container, put coffee in bottom, pour enough water to moisten coffee to texture of sand. Stir to make sure it's all wet. Add rest of water, cover and put in fridge for 16-18 hours. To make the draining process quicker, I use a big spoon at try to get as much of the coffee grounds out of the bowl as I can with as little loss of liquid. Then I pour through a coffee filter sitting in one of these. Sometimes, you have to change the filter because it gets gritty and it takes a while.

    Option 2:

A more hands off way to do it is to buy some fine weave, unbleached cheesecloth (non affiliate - just for reference. Can usually find cheap locally.). Double wrap the 2 cups of coffee in that, somewhat loosely so the water can get to the center. Put it in the bottom of your container, pour the water on top, making sure it's completely saturated. 16-18 hours later, I use the same strainer, but instead of having to skim and pour and crap, I just plunk the whole cheeseclothed blob into the strainer and let it sit over the bowl while I shower or whatever.

Congrats! You now have coffee concentrate. It's usually cut with water 50/50 but it's personal taste. You can make simply syrup, flavored syrups, vanilla sugar (I made some. Ooooh good! So good in chai!), and so on. It will stay good in fridge for about 2 weeks.

It's easy to scale up or down & once you get used to the process takes less than 5 mins of hands on time - especially for the 2nd one.

*edited: you can totally leave it out instead of putting it in fridge while it's "brewing", btw. I just hate waiting the next day for it to get cold. :) I store it in a pretty glass jug once it's done but even a mason jar or whatever the hell you have works.

Lol, thanks! Picked it up on Amazon as a pair, looks nice and was easy to install. Great for getting a few things off the counter rather than tossing them in a drawer or cabinet.

No, I mean they say if you want to send the distillate for another round of testing to let it sit for 2 hours at 70c. That way it’s melted all the way and has time to homogenize. You only need to do it like that maybe the first time if it’s fully solid again, after that you can just reheat it. I was just saying that letting it sit even for hours won’t ruin it, they say to do that. Doesn’t say it here but in the other sheets I have it does https://www.fightbackcbd.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/FEB1.jpg

It won’t go clumpy again, just get the hot plate stirrer, that’s how you do it.
https://www.amazon.com/YaeCCC-Magnetic-Stirrer-Hotplate-Heating/dp/B073FLH5R9/ref=mp_s_a_1_8?keywords=magnetic+hotplate&qid=1554143593&s=gateway&sr=8-8

Once the distillate is heated to liquid, mix it by weight into your room temp MCT in a beaker. Put it back on the hot plate. It doesn’t have to heat to 70 again, takes like 10minutes max to mix it. Magnetic stirrers mix from the inside out, the bar spins in the beaker and makes a whirlpool. You’ll know when it’s good, usually once the beaker is heated to like 45 50 it’s already mixed up. You don’t want the MCT to sit there and get super hot, it won’t ruin it but it might make it taste crappy. I meant the 2 hours was if you were going to pour say 5g of distillate to send for testing on it’s own. It needs to be heated and mixed. Really it is already assuming you are using the materials fairly recent from manufacture. If it’s like say around for months it gets really solid and separation/crystals. Before that it just turns opaque and sludgy solid. If you are just using like 100grams in a mason jar just swirl it around when it’s melted, it’s not gonna be an issue.

There's a awesome kindle book I found and have been reading. I did my research on a good cbd book and this one came out as not much of a marketing ploy

I mean it goes into everything and cites all claims with links to studies. Beginners, advance. I love the terpenes section and the descriptions of each known one.

Its called https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07BJ3K89T/ref=tmm_kin_title_0?ie=UTF8&qid=1557948473&sr=8-1

A. Note other's points about Diamond. Don't do it.

B. While I have IBS and use/support CBD, I personally gained higher relief and more consistent digestive improvement with a prebiotic. I take Prebiotin, which has truly worked wonders. YMMV of course.

Hey there! I've actually been using this turmeric supplement, but I've been taking the minimum dose. I'm going to up it to the max dose (3 tablets daily), and combine it with a CBD product... sounds like a good idea.

Thanks!

Sounds like our cat. So, short answer to your question: No, the CBD didn't work, unfortunately.

Long answer: I've found through extensive research that - from what I gather - CBD works best in tandem with THC for illnesses (like cancer, MS, back pain, etc).

But my cat didn't see any benefits, (nor did my brother, or mother who took separate brands for neck and back pain).

Now... loads of people HAVE had success with just CBD, like w/ this product:

https://www.innovetpet.com/products/purcbd

Why not give it a try? Your cat might respond better than mine did, and the virus is probably different.

However, if it doesn't work, I have read about two other options that I haven't tried yet:

  1. This Mushroom extract is supposed to be effective for cat viruses:
    https://www.amazon.com/Host-Defense-MyCommunity-Comprehensive-Resilient/dp/B004C1RSLW/ref=cm_cr_srp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8&th=1

  2. Finally, many people claim to rid their cat of viruses with Purina Probiotics:

    https://www.amazon.com/Purina-Fortiflora-Feline-Nutritional-Supplement/dp/B001650OE0/ref=pd_sbs_199_2?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B001650OE0&pd_rd_r=46882555-be62-11e8-bf4d-41a51e5d90ba&pd_rd_w=gPjNH&pd_rd_wg=IIVMD&pf_rd_i=desktop-dp-sims&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_p=0bb14103-7f67-4c21-9b0b-31f42dc047e7&pf_rd_r=VC5KD3SJZZAFF5KCMXC0&pf_rd_s=desktop-dp-sims&pf_rd_t=40701&psc=1&refRID=VC5KD3SJZZAFF5KCMXC0

    Good luck.

> What does this post have to do with CBD?

http://www.amazon.com/ABC-Childs-First-Alphabet-Book/dp/0525475249

"...B also stands for basket, beehive, and butterfly. Featuring a simple format and bright paintings, this acclaimed alphabet book is perfect for toddlers. Older readers are encouraged to look and look again as each spread reveals a new perspective on what has come before and intriguing hints of what's still to come".

PS. I see some people don't like books with illustrations, lol

Currently reading a book on combining both...Mindful Marijuana User. It's not bad besides the occasional typo/grammatical error and the author continuously referring to cannabis with antiquated street names like 'grass' and 'pot' in what is supposed to be a clinical book on the subject. Besides those distractions the book is pretty good and I used some of the ideas last night with some success.

Just about. Tbf, more like ~$80 with taxes and possible extras you may need if you don't have certain things lying around, like the hobby board slats. Main costs are the straightener and the clamp though, linked below.

Straightener. $37.99 but has a $2.00 off "coupon."

Clamp. $24.99

Hobby board. $2.62

$63.60, not including taxes or delivery fees.

Provided you already have a strong, temperature resistant glue and parchment paper, you will then be just about ready to go.

They are never cheap. It is a rare product.

If you want them cheap, your only option is natural terpenes from other plants, on Amazon or elsewhere.

Natural limonene, alpha-pinene, etc. is not too expensive, but it won't come from cannabis.

Like $10 for a huge bottle of limonene from oranges.

I bought the world's tiniest damn measuring spoon: https://www.amazon.com/Micro-Scoop-PP-10-15-mg/dp/B0044EOKLI/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1523478785&sr=8-4&keywords=mg+spoon.

I fill it halfway or a little under halfway, which is honestly a little harder than it sounds. Definitely considering buying an affordable scale.
