I have two bikes, one I bought from Century Cycles, and another I got off craigslist for super cheap. The one from craigslist is my favorite, and there were a ton more on there that I loved. The one I got on craigslist goes for around $700 brand new, but I got it from the guy for I think around $280ish.

I also live in an apartment, and I bought one of these: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000UUEF7E/ref=oh_details_o06_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 holds both bikes just fine, and they are both large sizes (for someone around my height - 6' 2")

EDIT: also get yourself a nice bike lock: http://www.amazon.com/Kryptonite-997986-Black-Fahgettaboudit-U-Lock/dp/B000OZ9VLU/ref=sr_1_4?s=cycling&ie=UTF8&qid=1374593601&sr=1-4&keywords=bike+lock

Yes, the One Tank Trip books & videos still an excellent resource, readily available via local public libraries or bookstore. Protip: Many other major cities also had a locally produced One Tank Trip series, available via local library, local bookstore or Amazon, they continue to be quite useful for vacations and such.

He had it coming to him. I had that same airsoft gun. It's definitely sold with an orange tip. It's not as dark too, so it was spray painted. It also has a golden circle stamp like thing in the grip. According to the current story, the police did what they needed to protect themselves(*) . If the police are screaming at you to put your hands up and you grab downwards, you're doing something fishy. It sounds like he was trying to show off to his friends, tbh.

I'll try to find it on Amazon. It's like the Double Eagle M1911 or something.

Here it is.

Yeah, I'm not sure that Cleveland is ready yet unfortunately. Even in Ohio City - right on the Rapid, across the bridge from downtown, etc - people still want cars. Like others have said, public transport to the suburbs is abysmal so you can't even get to inner ring places like Brooklyn or Linndale without a hassle. I hope one day it'll get better though. It's slowly getting better in Pittsburgh but I still get people who ask how my husband and I can get around with only one car.

PS if you haven't read Jeff Speck yet, you'll like him ;)

Check out this book

Also the buckeye trail in the CVNP is great. Once they complete the bridge rebuild the Old Carriage Trail is my favorite.

seems kind of morbid, but a fascinating book that gives lots of insight into Cleveland history and a deeper understanding of how certain things are today is "They Died Crawling"...

Great read.

I used to have ant problems, and the Home Depot traps didn't work. They would lure and kill a bunch of ants, but I'd still see a ton a day later.

Finally, I used this: https://www.amazon.com/Argentine-Carpenter-Cornfield-Harvester-Pavement/dp/B00TXFE4RI/ref=sr_1_12?keywords=ant+killer&qid=1559315714&s=gateway&sr=8-12

You have to figure out where the ants are coming from and lay some gel down there. However, it is really good at getting rid of them for good. Occasionally a few would come back after like six months, but a quick re-application would sort them out right quick.

I know this probably sounds crazy, but Starbucks Via is the best instant coffee I've tried. I can actually bare to drink it black.

Maybe that could be your go-to rush coffee.

I have this antenna. Says the range is 50 miles and it came with an amplifier. I'm definitely in that radius for almost every broadcast tower in Northeast Ohio. Would you think the ones from the link are that much better?

u/fxidiot · 2 pointsr/Cleveland

Here is the radio I am using and here is the tutorial on finding police frequencys and decoding them. I bought it to better understand radio waves for my signal analysis class and use it for days like these.

I opened this thread thinking it would be about 1970's era WMMS. This is a great book about that time.

I just bought a few pairs of these. Not local, but super cheap wayfarers. Got them super quick with Prime too.

Ahh, that makes a lot of sense but it drives me crazy because it seems like I could have a normal conversation with my neighbors from behind the door.

That said, I'm going to install this and this when I get there and see if it helps any.
