Not to mention you can buy a cheap one for $13, Can we not buy the individually needed extras ourselves? I guess I'll just wait until the Oculus Rift goes down in price, and when I upgrade my GTX 780. To be fair if I sell my GTX 780 and get a 970 then it'd be less than $50, but I would still need to wait until the oculus goes down in price, at least to $500.

Actually no, it has to do with how the input works. This controller is likely the type most of japan has which use direct input rather than X-input, so it can only assign numbers to the buttons rather than a simple face designation.
I actually played a lot the translated version of Cave Story with those kinds of controllers.

What about 1100€ for a Monitor ?
The Rift being 750€ with two games (let's say 60€ for the bundle) and an Xbox Controller (50€) with shipping (50€ is high, but it's probably not in a small light box) makes it 490€ for the Rift alone.
You might want to read those books to understand why overly contrasting bits can not be likable to most people. I'm not being subjective here. Dead Space is pretty violent game - limbs getting ripped off, blood and other fluids everywhere and so fort so I'm just guessing they didn't even bother with cencoring and thus it's not available for you guys. Must suck :(
You do however have couple options. Easiest being steam trading with someone for couple TF2 keys but you can get scammed if you don't know what you are doing. Other one is buying game from other country, DS2 is actually sale also on Amazon. You can buy it using fake US address there, not entirely sure does steam let you actually activate it. If not you may have to resort to VPN so you can activate it on US server. Both faking US address and activating via VPN are againts ToS but they made it really hard for germans to play games...
