A vinyl of the gods. Yes, it's definitely a very substantial record, and I don't regret the decision to get the special edition at all, it's a beautiful record, both in content and aesthetics, but I love just being able to chill out and listen for a while before flipping. I really shouldn't bitch though. I just got Deflorate by TBDM on vinyl and the whole album all the way through is just over 30 mins, so even one of the two Inferi records is about the same length. It's pretty rare to find an hour long metal album that is full of great tracks.
As amazing as it is, I think my audio setup is holding the album's sound potential back. I'm using this hooked up to this.
What kind of setup are you using?
interface is something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Focusrite-Scarlett-Audio-Interface-Tools/dp/B01E6T56CM
i think you shouldn't have a problem with your mixer into your soundcard. is it an onboard one or pci card?
If anyone gives you shit for wearing ear plugs they are either a teenager or else they won't be able to hear anything you say back to them.
I'm in my 30s and years of band practice, going to shows, shooting guns and a few years in a factory really fucked my hearing, mostly because when I was a teenager I never wore them.
Go to a sporting goods store or section and get some range plugs; they'll protect your hearing but won't block out as much clarity as regular foam plugs will
I just switched to etymotic ear plugs, and used them at a show last night. cheap, decent sound quality. recommended.
