Mine was doing that around that age and it turned out she was not getting much at all, which we didn’t realize until her weight gain stalled out. She’s an ineffective nurser and would frequently fall asleep at the breast. In fact, the amount that you are pumping may indicate that she is failing to empty the breast, especially if you are getting that much right after a nursing session, and the fact that she ate 5 oz from a bottle right after nursing is also suspicious.

Definitely do some weighted feedings and you’ll have a better idea of what is going on. I tried a kitchen scale initially as well but it was almost impossible to get a good reading on it. I ended up buying this scale instead and it has been great.

I wore this dress to a wedding in June, and aside from being a total bear to iron, it worked out really well. I wasn't showing then, obviously, but I think it would work with a belly. And it was super comfy and flowy and totally wedding appropriate. Plus it was like $30!

So, I bought this bra.

I was already a 36D before this pregnancy, and those suckers just kept growing. My band didn't get any bigger, but the cup size was amazing. And tender. I kept reading that maternity bras are important and underwire can be bad, so I looked into this bra and I love it. It's comfy, supportive, and kind of adjusts as my breasts grow.

I'm wearing my maternity/nursing dresses to work/everyday, not nursing but they fit. They are solid colors, I bought a bunch of random ones on amazon but these ones ended up being my favorites

If you're interested in the "natural" route this feminine spray says it's good for post-partum lady bits and is meant to treat infections, so maybe that's an option? (if you're interested in not going the pharma route)

I had to lose my belts around 8 weeks since it made me nauseous when the buckle pushed into my "belly". I got a MaeBand https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MXKQU86/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and a belly band since I haven't been able to comfortablly button my jeans for 2 weeks now. The Belly band made me feel uncomfortable. The MaeBand is great. Just make sure you measure correctly, I got a large and probably should have purchased a Medium. Also purchased 1 pair of maternity jeans, they felt great and ridiculous at the same time. Happy to have a pair in waiting so I don't wake up one morning and have nothing to wear to work at all. My Khakis/colored pants still fit fine buttoned, these sit low on my hips.

I bought a cheap elastic belt ($5, link) on Amazon (they’re for baseball uniforms apparently) and it arrived last night. I’m wearing it now with my unbuttoned hair tie secured jeans under my bump and Oh. My. God. Soooo comfortable. 😭 Hopefully, this will still work as the bump grows; do hips grow a lot as pregnancy progresses or is it mostly bump growing forward?

Thanks!!

It's pretty much exactly like this, although the toys on the mobile are different on his: infantino grow-with-me playtime teepee gym

I bought a lace maternity dress on amazon for about $20 for a fundraiser we had to go to, I was really happy with the fit and the quality for the cost. If you don’t have any dressier maternity stuff, check amazon! The one I got was this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MXDC0W9/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_zcYaAbQQSFG3X

Oh god, I went overboard x.x Couldn't go completely nuts because we simply don't have the cash on hand for it and I'd like to know the gender before buying a few things, but I definitely bought more than I thought I would.

So far I've accrued:

  • A rock and play - the deal on this wasn't honestly that great (good price, but not OMGWOW low), but it's a pattern I haven't seen elsewhere and it was on sale enough that I figured I'd bite the bullet.

  • These baby food storage containers -- knew several moms in the infant room I used to run at a daycare that used those and they are shockingly useful! Pre-packaged baby food runs up a toll; just make your own.

  • Lillebaby carrier

  • Latch bottles - kind of pissed we couldn't buy multiple quantities, but it's probably for the best. These were a steal, it was like $9 for 3.

  • couple things for kiddo #1 (including the complete set of Land Before Time films. I may regret that.)

Held off on a car seat, although the keyfit for ~$160 was super tempting and anyone wanting one should definitely consider it. I just hadn't planned on going to a babies r us or whatever for at least three more months to try seats in our ultra tiny car, so I didn't want to buy it and risk it not fitting.

Don't forget about books for the toddler years too! They're grabby and will rip paper because they don't know how to manipulate it yet, so you want board books that can stand up to them. Because my daughter, at least, can't stand when we're reading her something that she can't flip through, and teaching gentle touch is a slow process.

Aside from all the kid's books rendered into board book form, I love books that are full of labelled pictures of things, like this. I point at words to teach her them and I can see her vocab expanding as she points at pictures when I call them out to her.

Hah great nickname. No it’s something like this: Baby K’tan ORIGINAL Cotton Wrap style Baby Carrier, Black, Small https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000UYFULU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_vzxVAbY17BRKQ

To keep neck rolls clean try a milk catcher bib. There a several types/brands but the thick neck keeps the milkf tomorrow getting into here. We used them with our first and they were great! But the other rolls I'm not sure. I'm constantly pulling lint from baby fingers and toes and wiping down armpits.

We have the play gym and a couple of bigger plushy toys that we hang from there as well that she can grab. She’s learned that grabbing and pulling her giraffe results in the whole thing moving. We also make passes by the bathroom mirrors so she can watch herself.

Giraffe

Octopus

We’re also going to get some sensory balls to make tummy time more enjoyable.

Haha, I feel you. Super smelling morning breath has got to be the worst! The super smell is not a superpower I wanted either. I can smell my husband's sweaty gym clothes in the next room over.

For your husband, maybe he can try using a tongue scraper? It has really helped with my bad breath (and I can taste things better too!) I have this one.

It was Thayer's and I think I got it from well.ca originally, but they also have in on amazon (not sure if well only ships in Canada). My old grocery store used to carry it in the crunchy beauty/cleaning products section too - so they might have it in other health food stores.

Here's it is on amazon
