Hey /u/Gemini_99, I have a HORI Tac Grip that I purchased but never ended up using. It's basically half a controller. Sounds like it might be perfect for you. It can be set up to either emulate a PS4 controller, or function as a native KB+M. And you can plug any mouse into it too. I would happily give it to you for free if you think it might be good... it's just collecting dust right now.

I have to disagree that headsets are inherently better than ear buds, as there are some great quality ear buds out there. I actually do prefer over-ear headphones with a mic over everything, but I have ear buds whose sound quality challenge many magnitudes more expensive gaming headsets.

Take the VE Monk+ for example. Lauded in the headphone community for its sound quality despite the price. It's not going to compare to several hundred dollars in headphones, but it has great SQ. The only problem is that the one I have doesn't have a mic, so you could only communicate with an external mic.

I still say the best setup, if you don't have a lot of noise pollution in your house, is the Philips SHP 9500 with a boom mic attachment. For roughly $100, you can have a setup that sounds better than the Astro A40, though that price does not include a mixamp.

Edit: Why am I downvoted? Everyone hears "ear buds" and thinks crappy pack-ins, but those aren't the only ear buds that exist. There are ear buds that are several hundreds of dollars. It's straight up wrong to say that a headset is categorically better.

I built a PC on this website, for about $1700. https://www.letsbld.com/BLD#!/?shared=0843050851

All that you'ld need is the monitor. I suggest this one:

https://www.amazon.com/BenQ-Response-Equalizer-Vibrance-Adjustable/dp/B01H5KKQTM

If you want to go a little more budget, you can try to find an XL2430T, which is outdated but it's the monitor I currently use, and it's amazing. Good luck!

It was a pre-touch bar model, but as someone who gamed on a 15" MBP for quite a while, I can say they can be decent gaming machines.

If you want to use the touch bar, the building options seem the most natural fit. I'd suggest a good gaming mouse though and using the side buttons for building. The Logitech G602 works pretty well for me in Fortnite and other titles:

https://www.amazon.com/G602-Lag-Free-Wireless-Gaming-Mouse/dp/B00E4MQODC

Don't listen to the pc gaming snobs who crap on anything related to gaming on macs. Yeah, they aren't the best bang for your buck in terms of gaming performance, but if you have one for other uses, they can hold their own in a lot of games.

Both asus and acer make really good cheap monitors, just look at amazon and any one around $100-$150 with a good number of reviews should be pretty good

Id recommend this one right here:

Acer R240HY bidx 23.8-Inch IPS HDMI DVI VGA (1920 x 1080) Widescreen Monitor https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0148NNKTC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_OnuiDbVSYAM71

I have a 27’ 4k HDR one from LG which was pretty expensive because i have an xbox one x, but any modern monitor should have very low input lag so you don’t need to spend more money unless you want your game to look super nice

Couple solutions: bring a can of compressed air to the back of your PlayStation and get dust out
IF THE PROBLEM REMAINS:
Order some thermal paste off of amazon ( should only be like 5 bucks) and search on YouTube “how to replace thermal paste on the ps4” or something like that. What thermal paste does is it pretty much absorbs the heat of your ps4 and keeps it cool, when the paste is worn out, your ps4 overheats and your fans work harder ( louder). Now this will require you to almost completely dismantle your ps4 (while it’s already dismantled, you may as well bring a can of air to everything on the inside) but that shouldn’t be a problem if you’re very careful and make sure you don’t lose parts(WARNING: when taking the ps4 apart you’ll see stickers that say you’re voiding your warranty, if it’s a pretty old ps4, it’s probably already ran out)

It’s an intimidating thing to do if you’re not a tech head, but it’s not that scary if you follow instructions clearly. I remember I did it and my PlayStation went from a jet engine to literally silent.
Ofc you can choose to not trust me, because I’m just a comment on reddit)

Pretty sure I used this:
Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound (Pack of 2) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LT0ZWJE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_xlC3AbFGNBKJR

And here’s a video on how to do it:

Alright okey. For PC I would go for something like this: https://www.amazon.com/CYBERPOWERPC-Desktop-GXiVR8080A2-Overclockable-i7-8700K/dp/B075VSBNQZ/ref=sr_1_3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1529356747&sr=1-3&keywords=1080ti+8700k

The PC is very good and you will definitely have any problems with bad frames (always over 144) or lag. Don't know about the shipping to hawaii though..

For a monitor I would recommend the benq xl2411, which is a 144hz monitor. And when it comes to mouse and keyboard we all have different opinions, but I would recommend the Zowie EC2-A, and probably buy a keyboard like the logitech g pro. Hope this helped a little!

Hey y'all! Amazon has a 3-pack of lapel mics for $7 bucks. Go in on an order with some buddies. Huge gameplay advantage to vocal communication. Also the best way to make new friends in games.

u/werbyderk · 1 pointr/FortNiteBR

Unfortunately free sync, but honestly with a GTX 1070 I don’t see any screen tearing in fortnite at all. In more demanding games, yes, but in that case you could either turn down the refresh rate of the monitor or the video settings. The only other downside about that monitor is it’s just standard HD, not 1440p. Overall, it’s an amazing monitor nevertheless. Check it out here if it fits your budget

Got it from amazon. It’s a bit big but I was able to tuck in the shoulders a bit to make it less huge on her.

Nc Star Children's Vest, Black, Small https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00AKG8K06/

$34 now. Pretty sure it was $28 when I got it a week or two ago.

u/denverdabs · 1 pointr/FortNiteBR

This is the one I got. Works great. Also good luck with the foreskin pinching.

u/Gcarsk · 1 pointr/FortNiteBR

I use Fiil icons. Battery lasts a very long time, but I usually use wired when I’m playing because I like having the mic. The sound cancellation is really nice, too.

u/vid_icarus · 3 pointsr/FortNiteBR

steelseries nimbus + this phone clip for a solid hand held experience. controller is made for iOS and the clip is made for the controller. i’ve tried a few mfis and the nimbus has the most solid feel and comfortable grip imo.

> Who at Epic thought this would be acceptable is beyond me

Its fairly simple... The goal of competitive play is to make the playing field as level as possible.

They probably didn't want people to have a massive competitive advantage over others because they have the financial ability to drop $850 on a monitor.

And the aspect ratio lock only applies to competitive, further proving my point that this change is to level the playing field. If they did it with the sole goal of pissing you off, they would have put the aspect ratio lock in normal playlists as well.

Birthday but here's one I found on Amazon but you can just search up a fortnite character name and put pop funko at the end of it like this

Skull trooper Pop Funko
