I got a pop socket for free and got to start enjoying it.... But the bump was huge. So.... I got a spade drill bit and cut a hole in the case... It eats like half the pop socket.

I got it almost exactly a year ago and the phone looks good in the case. I take it out every so often and clean out the filth and the phone still looks great. Only had a few scary drops, but.... It's been perfect for me. And it's like.... 12 bucks

I'm using this case and I love it. I had the Spigen Neo Hybrid before but it was a little thicker (probably not by much) and just didn't feel right. This one slides in and out of my front pocket with ease.

I've dropped it a couple times and it's taken the drops like a champ.

I know you asked for locally in Canada but just wanted to chime in.

Also, couldn't get a glass protector to fit correctly with this case so I'm using a wet application plastic screen protector. (Armorsuit case friendly)

It's the most sturdy version of the iOttie mount thus far and the wireless charge works great with the note 9. Also, with the routines app from Good lock, I have my note unlock the note 9, open google maps and google play music when the phone is connected to the car's bluetooth and also charging. Couldn't be happier.

To use DeX on the Note9, there's really only 3 solutions: DeX Station, DeX Pad, and USB-C to HDMI Cable.

Although it's possible to use DeX with any of the 3 options, there's slight differences between them.

DeX Station

There's really only two reasons why you would choose a DeX Station.

1. The resting position of the phone is facing towards you, so you can glance at your phone at anytime, (though this doesn't serve too much of a purpose when you're already interacting with your phone on the Monitor)
   
2. Ethernet Port - Just incase your place doesn't have a fast wireless connection, but it has a fast wired connection... there's not much places like this.
   
   DeX Pad
   
   There's really only two reasons to get this over the DeX Station.
   
   
3. Much cheaper, like... half the price if you look at Samsung's website.
   
4. No need for a mouse or keyboard, since the flat design makes it easy for you to use it as a touchpad.
   
   HDMI Cable
   
   There's also really only two reasons to get this over the other two options.
   
   
5. Cheapest
   
6. Flexible - Any USB-C to HDMI Cable should work
   
   However, keep in mind that by using an HDMI Cable, you'll be sacrificing the amount of ports and the built-in fan that is offered by both the DeX Station and DeX Pad.

   Personally, I use the HDMI Cable option, since I don't need all the other features provided by the other two offerings.

   Works very well, and it provides a charging port and a port for me to stick in a bluetooth keyboard/mouse. Keep in mind that it's always possible to have your phone be the keyboard and trackpad if you don't have a keyboard/mouse available.
   
   But yes, if you go the HDMI Cable route, highly consider getting a cable that has a charging port too, because normal USB-C to HDMI Cables don't allow you to charge while you're using it... which doesn't feel like a good PC alternative solution to me.

Ringke Fusion has many accolades from several different Youtubers, but I haven't seen anyone talking about the Ringke Dual-X which is the Fusion but two parts, TPU and hard plastic and a non-clear textured back. It looks way better than the Fusion in my opinion and is an all around great case. Highly recommended (the 5-star review and pictures are mine).

Bad news first. Phone audio does not work via USB connection in My Nissan Murano. Google search shows many people complaining about same issue.

Good news.. there are USB bluetooth audio adapters available in the market that can connect to the usb port and allow you to play music wirelessly. I would recommend buying one of those first and trying it with the iphone Bluetooth connection. If that works then you are good to go :)

Good to know, thank you! I may look for something similar with 4 USB-A ports. Do you, or does anyone else, know how to look at hub specs to determine more confidently whether there will be enough passthrough power? I guess looking at the maximum watts allowed for "PD", right? I don't know much about this, but I guess it'd need to charge the Note 9 and also power the mouse, keyboard, and thumb drive. (The printer has its own electric plug of course, so it wouldn't draw power through USB-A, I assume.)

Thinner than the Spigen Liquid Crystal.
I have the blue Note, and got the blue case, and the color matches almost exactly.

My fiance has one for her Note 8 and I have just been waiting for the Note 9 version to hit.

I had a "slim" case from other manufacturers but they aren't that slim tbh. I also have the spigen thin fit but the outer coating started wearing really fast and it was a bummer because it's a hard case that feels really nice in-hand.

If I was you I'd stay clear of more recent flagships because despite a massive leap in quality over the last decade there have been diminished returns technology wise in the last few years. That's owed more to the consumer marketplace for tech being driven more by advertising rather than what's technologically feasible. Anyway, Spending less than half as much on a note 8 will give you a lot more than half of a note 9. It'll be very close.

Got it for 50 bucks on an amazon lightning deal and dex works great with it.

Personally I have been using this one for my note 8 and now note 9, and it's been working wonderfully. It's a little pricey at $50, but 8 months in and works like new!

I also got the Ringke Air I think this might become my daily driver. It is thin and light, but a fingerprint magnet.

I've got the Tough Armor which is spigen's "beefiest" case which is still pretty slim to me. It's got a kickstand and lays flat. I have zero issues using wireless charging, both Samsung and third party chargers, in this case.

I have always used these glass covers on all my previous phones. My friends that do phone repairs always recommend the glass covers bc in a drop, the impact is dispersed across the glass protector and not the actual phone screen.
