I've used one of these for years and it works great. Plug it into your aux Jack and pair it with your phone and now your car has Bluetooth. It supports both HFP (phone calls) and A2DP (Music) and it has physical buttons for media control and answering calls.

I have a case on mine. It is bulkier, but I got the Verus Damda Slide which doubles as a wallet, so overall I feel like I've actually slimmed down.

I've had it for a few months now and it has survived a few modest drops.

Same thing happened to me last month. After months, the default cable was too bent and I had to put it in a really weird position to charge it and it would fast charge only a third of the time. You can't just use any cable either, as you need one that's able to fast charge with the default adapter.

I got this Anker cable from Amazon (looks like it's even on sale right now, it was about $8 when I bought it two weeks ago) and it's great. It charges fast, is super durable and doesn't tangle.

In the spirit of the holidays (and due to making a similar error to the OP). I have an extra clear case for the s6 edge plus. Saw a $2 case on amazon but didn't notice it was for the plus, I have the regular.

Only complaint is that it's a little slippery with the smooth plastic back.

Fits nice, gets a good grip on the edge, looks stylish, all of the ports have decent clearance for plugging headphones and chargers into. Plus the built in kickstand is super handy.

How about just a bumper? It protects the metal edges and is slightly raised so when you set it down on a table the camera/glass isn't directly on the surface.

It sounds like you didn't have it positioned correctly. I HIGHLY recommend this charger, even over the Samsung one.

If your phone is positioned correctly, it flashes green. If not, it flashes red-green. This way, you know if your phone is charging or not.

Don't. I have one, and it's a great phone, no doubt. But wish I'd waited for S6 active or S7. Battery life with battery saving off is terrible, and performance with battery saving on is poor. S7 has bigger battery, removable storage and is waterproof.

But, if you must have S6 edge, get a case or bumper because if you manage to grip it without a case, you'll tap things you don't mean to tap... and you'll definitely drop it frequently.

Also, if you are in the car as much as me (ave. 60 miles a day) get a car charger with quick charge 2.0 because you'll need it. The QC 2.0 chargers are WAY cheaper than the Samsung Adaptive Fast Charging chargers and they do the same thing (this one is awesome https://amzn.com/B00LJT2EPK). YOU WILL NEED A FAST CHARGER ON HAND AT ALL TIMES if you use it without battery saving turned on... which you will because battery saver sucks.

Get at least the 64 gig because no SD...

This is the case I have in white (I've got the black).

I realize you said you don't like the hard plastic but from handling the case personally it's more of a rubbery plastic that has a really nice grip and doesn't add any bulk to the phone.

Also it seems all white cases for the S6 aren't the norm, and the majority are white combined with another shade.

I highly recommend these Zakix cables on Amazon. They work very well and have a low profile. If you don't need that many they also have a 4 pack.

Your problem is most definitely a cable problem though.

But no, you don't need a Samsung cable. I can vouch for this one working well with my OEM Samsung charger block-thing.

If you need a wall charger block then get something that can put out at least 2 amps. If it puts out more, like 2.4, that's fine too.
