33. RhinoShield Bumper Case Compatible with Samsung [Galaxy S9+ (Plus)] | CrashGuard - Military Grade Drop Protection Against Full Impact, Slim, Scratch Resistant - Black

    Features:
  • ✔️ [WORRY-FREE PROTECTION] – With our proprietary RhinoShield impact resistant technology, you never have to worry about breaking that valuable glass-backed phone. Proven with multiple drop tests and certified military grade (MIL-STD 810G) – our custom ShockSpread polymer material absorbs impact of at least 3.5m/11 feet. The case’s inner honeycomb structure provides an additional 10% defense against knocks.
  • ✔️ [MINIMAL DESIGN] – The unique bumper case design does not cover up your phone’s back, giving you the choice to enjoy the device’s original design or slap on a skin for a personalized look. Despite the exposed back, the subtle raised lip provides protection for the back glass and camera housing, so that the case – not the phone – takes the hit when dropped.
  • ✔️ [SLIM & USER-FRIENDLY] – At under 2.8mm/0.01 inch thin and 16 grams/0.6 ounces light, RhinoShield CrashGuard is one of the thinnest and lightest tough cases around. The slim, unobtrusive bumper gives you a snag-free experience, sliding into your pocket easily. A matte, stain resistant coating improves grip, while scuff and ink marks are easy to clean. The improved buttons are more responsive, with good tactile feedback.
  • ⚠️ [COMPATIBILITY] – Compatible with ✔️ Samsung Galaxy S9+ (Plus) ✔️ and most back skins. Precision cutouts for all ports, fits most cables. For better all-round protection, we strongly recommend pairing this product with the RhinoShield IMPACT FLEX protector, just in case the phone falls face-down on a pointed object or highly-uneven surface.
  • ✔️ [NEXT GENERATION MATERIAL] – Our ShockSpread polymer is extremely durable and moderately flexible. The case can bend without breaking or permanent loosening especially during installation and removal, unlike traditional polycarbonate or TPU cases. It is also safer for you and your family, as it is BPA/BPS/BPF free AND passes FDA food-grade requirements. This case is recyclable.

You probably don't need an OtterBox case, but I highly recommend using some sort of case on this phone, especially if you're accident prone like I am.

I have had this device since it came out and I have dropped it so many times. So many!! Thankfully the phone has remained completely unscathed despite my best efforts to break the damned thing. Haha.

I have been fond of the Hybrid style cases (hard transparent backs with soft TPU plastic around the edges) which are sturdy enough to protect the phone, but not bulky. They also provide much needed grip as this gorgeous device is slippery!

Might I recommend either the Spigen Ultra Hybrid case or the Incipio Octane case? Both are available on Amazon and have great reviews. I can tell you that I can attest to their durability. The Incipio case is nice because the finish is matte and doesn't show scratches as much as the Spigen case. Good luck and enjoy your new phone!

I have a basic Samsung pad one, probably two or three years old now, but still works fine and Anker makes really good ones too! I've got this one from Anker. I'm also considering upgrading my work desk one to this one because it'd be easier to look at the phone. If you're in the US, Anker should easily be available on Amazon too. Other brands that are good are Belkin and Aukey :)

u/frugal_masturbater · 1 pointr/GalaxyS9

Spigen thin fit. Used the same on my S7E for 2 years, wonderful case. You get to use the nice buttons on the phone yet get decent protection.

I will say, however, that I went through 3 of those cases on my S7E in 2 years. Drops (which happened a lot) will be absorbed, but given the amount of material the case breaks easily. It's a tradeoff, but one I was happy to make.

caution, the amazon link for the samsung charger in that article is a counterfeit.

the amazon link for the real charger is here

https://www.amazon.com/Title-Certified-Convertible-Charger-Supports-compatible/dp/B06XH4X7SZ/?th=1

seems to be the best charger out there... all the 3rd party ones seem hit and miss on whether they work in portrait mode or not. I have a few old qi chargers from my old lumia that I think will still function. Im just going to upgrade my night stand for now, it would be nice to be able to read alerts and stuff without sitting up in bed.

Personally I dont care for Spigen as I prefer UAG or Speck, but I like to have something at launch. Ordered SupCase over a week ago and already got it, but the special $5 price expired so I seen this one on SD and it is probably better than nothing for protection.

u/Prettyphonepete · 1 pointr/GalaxyS9

This case is great. It has a nice textured feeling which gives it a better grip.

I went with this one for my 9+

Really easy to put on, little bit tricky to position it right but once you got it, it's nice to have. Covered up any scratches nice and now I don't have any worries about the screen.

u/VirtualAjax · 2 pointsr/GalaxyS9

Here's what I posted in response to a similar question.

If you're like me, you don't want anything that detracts from the design of the phone. And I will not tolerate any case that covers the switchgear - I want direct tactile contact with the buttons.

I'm using this ultra thin case right now: Galaxy S9 Plus MNML Thin Case (Clear Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07B8DP8YF/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_6hf.BbD26Y1NQ

It doesn't provide any drop protection, but it improves grip, which helps to prevent a drop in the first place.

I switch between that one and this one, which does provide some shock protection in the corners: https://m.newegg.com/products/9SIA6RP8425424

I'm thinking about trying this TPU case: ESR Soft Galaxy S9+ Plus Case, Slim TPU Cover Case Compatible for The Samsung Galaxy S9+ Plus (2018 Released), Clear https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078PGKRZL/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_irf.BbABFMMR0

Oh okay i see, might give it a try then. If this fails me then i'll probably just go for one of those wet apply ones, they're supposed to be alright according to some other threads. What case have you got? I've got this one - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-Spigen%C2%AE-Original-Flexible-Absorption-Matte-Black/dp/B0789S2MPW/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1522181177&sr=8-3&keywords=s9+plus+case

Just hoping it's case friendly with it...

u/johnnyh55 · 1 pointr/GalaxyS9

I am pretty sure this could be done if your radio at work has a 3.5mm auxiliary input. All you do is use a 3.5mm male to male cable and connect one end in the S9 and the other in the auxiliary input of the radio at work. Then the phone will just use the cable as the FM antenna and instead of the sound outputting in your earbuds it would output in the aux input of the work radio. I have never tried this but pretty sure it would work.

Use a cable like this:

Maybe you guys can help me. I try to find a case similar to the official Samsung Galaxy S9 Protective Standing cover. I love the material und feeling, especially while using the edge screen (I don't care about a kickstand). So what is the issue with this case? It's too thick, actually its back is too thick. I prefer a little less bulk. Maybe somenone was in similar situation?

You can see the case here:

I bought this one and I'm very happy with it. I may get a darker color once this clear one starts to turn yellow.

Check out the Evo Select on Amazon, better speeds than standard Evo and a really good deal for 128GB... https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B06XWZWYVP?psc=1&ref=yo_pop_mb_pd_t1

u/ImIntroverted · 4 pointsr/GalaxyS9

Sure! This is the one I have, works great on my S9.

u/popsicle_of_meat · 1 pointr/GalaxyS9

I think battery cases made sense when charging was so slow. But with quick charging, a battery bank like THIS or THIS can top things off pretty quickly and for less money than a battery case.

Galaxy S9+ with a SUPCASE Unicorn Beetle TPU/Black case for $4.50 with coupon code OPND3C7S, and a 3 pack of PET screen protectors for $3.60 with coupon code GHQSDJUI
Great to have something for when I first get the phone. When I got my S7 I paid $40 for a case at Best Buy and put a scratch on it the first week while awaiting my screen protector :(

u/T3hBau5 · 1 pointr/GalaxyS9

I went for a Spigen Case for my S9+ as well. Have used them for my last few phones, love em.

u/balista_22 · 1 pointr/GalaxyS9

no, thats a different model, it has to say "qc" or "quick charge" i had it but i prefer the "slower" charge smaller anker now & since the fast charge one wastes a lot of charge in the process & every drop of charge is vital in a battery pack.

but if you like fast charge, get it, but i recommend only use qc port when you really need it, to get the most charge out of the battery pack

I've used their mounts for a few years in a SUV where I was able to mount the suction cup on the shelf where the USB/charging ports are.

One issue. I've found they last about 2 summers before they start losing their stickiness but at $12 it's not a huge issue. They are definitely a good choice.

Thanks for putting everything together.

The link for "Spigen Clear Rugged Armor" in your Google doc is broken.

It's as minimal of a case as I've ever found, and I love it. I use that plus a PopSocket and I have never worried about my phone breaking.

u/mjsnyder15 · 2 pointsr/GalaxyS9

I have one like that, this one from Amazon, that I have at work. I love it! I keep it up mostly and not flat, because I like to keep my notifications visible, within eye sight and I watch some videos on it, I love the option to be able to fold it down for transport/easy carry. Mine is USB Type-C and it is one of the Wireless Fast Charging and it is fantastic. Definitely recommend it. It's not as fast as charging with a cable, but that is to be expected.

My only complaint for it, and it is a very minor complaint, would be that when it's on the pad, I can't use the fingerprint scanner without removing it.

u/SlantedPictureFrame · 1 pointr/GalaxyS9

I picked up this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B079CC1PYD/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I prefer a thin case, and this one has a surprising amount of grip. Still slippery from time to time, but does its job well.

The screen protector should work fine with cases, based on the Amazon description, but no guarantees.

u/TheUnchainedZebra · 1 pointr/GalaxyS9

Spigen Liquid Air or Thin Fit. I have both, among other cases, and use the liquid air as my daily-use case. The thin fit is hands down one of the thinnest/lowest-profile cases you can get for your S9/+ that's still high-quality, and will keep the screen from touching any flat surface it's on (granted, it's only about a milimetre or less above the surface, and the case doesn't protect the side buttons). I'd go for the liquid air personally - it's a bit thicker while still being lower profile than most other cases, and will give a fair degree more protection than the thin fit.

u/DIRTYDAN555 · 1 pointr/GalaxyS9

I use the free 256 gb Samsung I got from s7 promotion more than a year ago. Awesome sd card. It is 256 evo+. No problems so far. I myself would go with this if I didn't have it. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B06XWZWYVP/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1521767963&sr=8-3&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=256gb+micro+sd+card&dpPl=1&dpID=417GrTrMCfL&ref=plSrch

Due to the speed, space, and price. The Evo select line is really inexpensive yet fast.

u/jsabo · 2 pointsr/GalaxyS9

I have the one from Anker, and it works with my Caseology Skyfall without issue: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01KJL4XNY

My car mount has a magnet in the mount and a plate that you're supposed to put on your phone-- I have the plate sitting in the case at the bottom of the phone, and I'm still able to wirelessly charge, although I'm on an S9+, so that might help with positioning.

u/LucidityLoL · 0 pointsr/GalaxyS9

You need a good enough SD card for, it I think it was class 10?

Edit** is class 10

I have this one and it works

I used Anccer with my LG V30 and it was perfect.
This the one I am ordering for my S9+
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B079CC1PYD/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
The downside for the V30 one was that it cracked on a big drop, but it was only 10 bucks so I didn't mind buying a replacement 6 months later.

u/AtriusC · 2 pointsr/GalaxyS9

I have this but unable to find that A1 bit. I take it that I shouldn't then?

What about this?
https://www.amazon.com/Adapter-Samsung-Station-Experience-Nintendo/dp/B078W4RXGR
They probably can't advertise it officially for S9, because it has a smaller heatsink and can overheat while using it without cooling.

u/AaronAZ623 · 1 pointr/GalaxyS9

Can confirm https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078W4RXGR/
This is what I have and it works the same as the official one when pluged in with power.

u/davioro · 2 pointsr/GalaxyS9

I had an armorsuit (Amazon) that worked well for about 2 weeks and then I got sick of how it felt. It was about $8. I've come to terms with the fact that curved screens will never get decently priced tempered glass protectors. Luckily with the new gorilla glass, shit like coins and keys won't do any damage. I've just lived with my otterbox defender and no screen protector.

u/Citizen_V · 2 pointsr/GalaxyS9

I think it is, but I haven't been tracking the prices after I bought mine. DroidFind is probably basing their claim on CamelCamelCamel or another price tracker. It is in fact the lowest it's been on Amazon as a regular price; these trackers aren't able to track lightning deals.

EDIT: This deal is a ton of attention on SlickDeals.

u/Champion_of_Capua · 2 pointsr/GalaxyS9

I use the [Samsung rugged one ](Samsung Galaxy S9+ Rugged Military Grade Protective Case with Kickstand, Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0797J6DNB/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_WhpaCb7PM3EMJ) and really like it. I don't use a screen protector since it's a pain in the ass to find one to fit the curves. Maybe you'd wanna try the Whitestone Dome though.

u/goodpricefriedrice · 4 pointsr/GalaxyS9

I have this one and am very happy with it: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XWZWYVP/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

According to customer reviews, it's faster than the older Plus youve linked.

Just dont get a sandisk ultra. My phones (both windows and android) have killed 2x 64gb ultra cards and 1x 128gb ultra cards (so 100% of all sandisk microsds ive ever owned).

Speed is definitely noticeable compared to the sandisks. When i had a tonne of photos the sandisk would cause the gallery app to crash. With the samsung, no rpoblem.

u/DerpsterIV · 1 pointr/GalaxyS9

Does anyone have this case and knows what screen protector works with it? I've seen people comment that its hard to find one that fits it, but no one mentioned which one they found that does work.
