I recommend you not to use Adoptable Storage. The card you chose is slow compared to storage chips on the phone and that could cause problems with apps. In specs sheet of most cards, write speed is not even written, which is generally like ~8-10 time slower than read speed. Always check for write speed since you are going to take photos and videos.

If you still want to use Adoptable Storage, go for Samsung ones with UHS-3 like this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01DOB6YUQ/ref=psdc_3015433011_t1_B01CO48M36

You can also get Evo+, Pro (for general usage, 1080p videos, without adoptable storage) or Pro+ ones but those looks like discontinued. Evo Select looks like the new series.

But you can save your photos directly to SD card even if you do not use Adoptable Storage, but still recommend to get a UHS-3 card minimum.

Also, when you first activate your phone, you should have got an offer from Google. 100GB cloud storage, use that too if you have forgotten you have activated it.

Also, beware that some sellers on Amazon are selling counterfeit cards. Always check that "Ships from and sold by Amazon.com" is written while buying SD cards.

I just made the switch to all Anker cables after my Powerocker cable started acting funny. Quick charge all the time now, no issues so far. My BF also uses these on his Pixel and his USB-PD works as well.

I have both the Unicorn Beetle case and Spigen Neo Hybrid case.

Neo Hybrid is good if you're looking for a bumper with added grip on the back. I wanted something slim, but with a vertebrae since one-piece TPU cases tend to stretch out over time. Survived a couple drops with the scars to prove it. Big holes over both ports that I haven't had issues with yet. I really like this case.

Unicorn Beetle is my I-might-drop-this-on-concrete-today case. It's basically an Otterbox Defender, but half the price. Plus I carry my phone in my back pocket and after getting caught in the rain a couple times I decided I wanted a case with port covers. Also haven't had issues with port holes on this one. My only problem with this case is that my dinky little magnetic car mount (with the disk insert) sometimes has problems holding on to it. But I expected that to happen with a much denser case. (Also side note, this case comes with a built-in screen protector, like the Defender. I ripped that out before installing since they get lint stuck under them.)

All on Amazon. I'll link when I get on my PC.

I've had this case since July/August when I bought the topaz gold HTC 10. It's the greatest, non-staining, non discoloration, just enough grip, soft TPU case ever. I wanted the gold 10 so bad, finally got it through T-Mobile, and now can still show off my phone. Pics don't do it justice. Just enough lip over the screen to keep the screen perfect. I've had zero scratches. My phone is basically still brand new. I've dropped it about 3 times on accident (not intentional dropping) and it's done beautifully.

I am not sure how much you're okay with not having a hybrid or some lack of hard material on the exterior of your case, but I never have and these kinds of clear, soft TPU are incredible.

I recommended this case to my co-worker and now he has it with his gray HTC 10. He's happy as fuck.

Well the best possible would probably be this one:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01LRXI59Q/ref=psdcmw_3015433011_t3_B010NE3N3S

Although the normal Extreme or Extreme Plus or Samsung Evo+ should also be good enough.

I use this $10 one with no problems: https://www.amazon.com/PowerBear-Qualcomm-Foldable-PowerBank-Certified/dp/B01KJ293VA

If the charger says quickcharge, it should work with the phone. Doesn't matter if they list the phone in the description or not.

The HTC branded one is only $18 on amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Genuine-HTC-Charger-QuickCharge-Certified/dp/B01MDU48S2/ref=sr_1_12?ie=UTF8&qid=1494986095&sr=8-12&keywords=quickcharge+3.0+wall+charger

Both should charge at the same speed, but I do like the HTC cable a lot. Its pretty beefy and durable.

I've tested a ton of chargers with my USB multimeter and I found that as long as you don't get chargers that are drastically cheaper than the rest($5), they seem to work well.

Here is a similar one I bought a year ago, it has been perfect, except now it's starting to yellow a little. The HTC 10 is really a great phone, isn't it?

I think the portable storage is best for me since it's 32 gb phone and less potential to lose data. Sandisk and Samsung seem best, and I want to get U3 so I can use the card for years on future phones.

I'm having trouble determining Samsung Evo vs Samsung Pro

evo s://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XWZWYVP/ref=psdc_3015433011_t1_B01G26R0BM

pro
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XWZBM4N?ref=emc_b_5_t

The pro must be better in some way for the 64 gb to be more expensive than 128 gb evo, but will it actually impact the performance much? I'll be using it most for basic files - spotify, netflix, pictures, phone video, maybe other video.

Pro claims to be better for 4k video but I'm not too concerned about that.

The charger isn't compliant with the USB charging spec, not the cable. I bought this. It's pretty good and "Benson" approved

I have this case:

https://www.amazon.com/SUPCASE-Full-body-Holster-Protector-Release/dp/B01EB97YRW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1498492793&sr=8-1&keywords=supcase+htc10

I took out the plastic screen protector and put a glass screen protector on it:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01IQGWHGE/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

This works pretty well for me. Just clean the phone, install the glass screen protector, carefully remove the plastic screen protector for the case, and install the phone in the case.

dodocool In-ear Earphones Hi-Res Stereo Earbuds, they're really comfortable and Hi-Res certified. Great for working out and general use. Bearing the price ($25) in mind, I give them a 9/10.

u/SpydreX · 1 pointr/HTC10

These are the ones I use: https://www.amazon.com/Comply-Foam-Premium-Earphone-Tips/dp/B002OOWBWK

They slightly degrade the clarity of the highs but not by much as long as you roll them right. I use them because they really widen the soundstage and give an overall warm sound to the music. They also conform to your ear and are very comfortable. Since you have momentums which are a differnt size eartip you would want these: https://www.amazon.com/Comply-Premium-Earphone-Sennheiser-Momentum/dp/B01JAT1F5K/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1494733116&sr=1-1&keywords=sennheiser+momentum+comply

I bought these cases and couldn't be happier (especially at the price point).

It's a 2 pack, and is a knock off of the #teamhtc cases that were sent out a couple weeks ago. It's a different brand but as far as I can tell, they are exactly the same. Without the #teamhtc of course (I have both, for reference).

They aren't slippery, and provide a medium protection. I'm really picky with cases, I don't like cases that make the phone feel huge or distract from the screen quality. This does neither. It fits like a glove too.

But honestly. You can't go too wrong for 3.50/pair.

Also here is the same case as the free ones that were sent out by HTC. (also without the #teamhtc on the back).

P.s. sorry I'm 6 days late to the thread.

Here's one that I found on this sub, and it's been working great for me:

It is going to heat up a bit while charging with any version of QC. QC raises the voltage with the amperage to let your phone charge faster. Whether it uses 5, 9, or 12 volts is determined by your phone's specs and what the charger can output.

It doesn't get too hot to pick it up. It gets noticeably warm with internal temperatures reaching around 32-35C or so. Idle temperature, for comparison, is around 28C. When you pick it up, it will feel kind of warm, but not hot. Your phone can take much higher temperatures than what it experiences during charging, so you're not causing any damage.

I have personally used all of the following Benson approved USB type-C items.
