Also a uni student, I recommend these pots from amazon.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01LXGAHMV/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Durable and easy to chuck in a back. Can hold 3 scoops. You get 2 pots that screw together for easy storage.

Hope this helps.

I'm a barista and so I've experimented with a lot with coffee and huel. Vanilla Huel with a dirty chai in it is amazing. The Chocolate mixed with peanut butter powder is what I usually have if i do one later in the day, but not breakfast. Any fresh fruit blended with the Berry flavor is pretty great, and ice always blended in all of them too.

I picked up some containers from Amazon, they fit 3 scoops perfectly and will fit in the Huel cup when you're done. My order came with 6 containers.

Get one of these fam it’s yuuge and you can fill it with confidence, I hand blend directly in it and it’s the nearest solution and offers lots of space for anything you might want to add and all jelly he scoops, I don’t use the lid or as a shaker just the cup element and I drink from it

I specifically use this stuff. I like the super-fine texture so I don't get clumps of coffee in my teeth and it dissolves great in the Huel mix. Two teaspoons seems to do the trick in the morning. I sometimes add a single teaspoon to my lunch Huel to get me through the afternoon.

Price doesn't correlate with the size of bits in any given drink. Like Dan pointed out, Huel has higher quality ingredients than JJ. I hated Huel when I first tried it but now I dig it. I make waffles with it. I blend with ice and various flavor boosts for variety. One tiny scoop of banana flavor, 125 grams of berry huel, ~65 grams of frozen fruit, and 20 grams of gerbs 5 seed meal all blended in a 24 oz Ninja single serving blender is delicious.

The ninja is not difficult to clean. Just a small squirt of of soap + bottle brush and you're done. No more difficult than a shaker, maybe even easier since there's no awkward mesh thing to clean.

The sweetener in Huel powders is Sucralose. That's a very common flavoring used in many products, so your wife probably knows for sure if she can abide it. People who get a bitter after-taste from Sucralose are a small minority but she could be one of the lucky ones.

To sweeten the U/U powder you can as /u/ptrichardson says, just add some sugar. Add sugar "to taste" (to her taste) but measure so you know how many calories you are adding.

Another option is Monkfruit. This is used in a couple of other meal replacement products than Huel. It's different chemically from Sucralose, but like it, is a very powerful sweetener. (Believe them when they say "just a few drops".) Possibly your wife would not perceive it as unpleasant.

This is he one I use. Works perfect every time!

I use this scale: https://www.amazon.com/Omron-Body-Composition-Monitor-Scale/dp/B0020MMCDE/ref=sr_1_9_s_it?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1542575404&sr=1-9&keywords=body+fat+scale

I seem to see muscle mass increasing visually and feel strength increasing despite body fat fluctuating between 15.3 and 18.7%. It reads muscle mass as about 41%, but I don't know how it obtains that number and I've never seen any journals pay attention to muscle mass percentage. When I used it last night, body fat was 17.5 and BMI was 21.6.

Since my weight isn't increasing, I don't know how to explain that I'm getting stronger.

Wife and I add a small scoop of this: PB2 Bell Plantation Chocolate Powdered Peanut Butter, 1 Pound (2-Pack) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HNDCBA4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_eAOEAbPRCE2NH

3 scoops of Huel and about half scoop of the above. Wife found this batch of huel rather sweet so ordering one unflavored and other vanilla and mix scoops when making it.

I would actually recommend a shaker that is not connected to any meal replacement brand, this one:

https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B01DPMY14U/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It has a round base and a blender ball in it, both are designed to decrease large bits in the shake. If I use this shaker for Huel AND leave it in the fridge for a night, then the bits are practically gone. I usually prepare my Huel before leaving work and stick in the fridge to grab it first thing in the morning. Jimmy Joy is ready to drink after 20 seconds of shaking and has 0 bits in it but the texture gets quite bad if I leave it in the fridge. So I use Jimmy Joy for meals that I'm going to eat right away and Huel for preparing breakfast in the evening.

yah boo, just looked it up for you -- i got this, cost effective af

u/Antiabed · 1 pointr/Huel

That’s a good point, the problem was already there before I started storing it in the fridge.
But it might be the moisture, maybe a combination of the left over moisture after washing my hands and the fridge and the bottle after washing it (I use this bottle and use the top part as a scoop so after washing it there might be some left over moisture in there).

I remember seeing a sale on this one from Contigo a couple weeks back. Not on sale anymore, but worth a look. I don't have ant personal experience to say how it is.

u/cr3ative · 1 pointr/Huel

Heck yeah, I got one of these! https://www.amazon.co.uk/OXO-Good-Grips-Pop-Cookie/dp/B006HCWRLK

Looks quite nice on the counter-top, fits a scoop no problem

u/Raindawg1313 · 1 pointr/Huel

I use Blender Bottle instead of the Huel bottle, and they're super-secure.
