Perhaps more of a duration thing is what I meant. It would take me about a minute to clean the Vitamix. It takes me about 5 seconds to clean the Ninja (confirmed with the wife that it's this one).

Multiply that twice a day and that's a lot of inconvenience saved. The Vitamix is kind of overkill for a daily smoothie/protein shake/meal replacement anyway.. it's more of the tougher jobs like making soups.

If you want single or double serve smoothies my ninja has not let me down. Sure you can spend a lot more on a vitamix and it will be better; but that's up to you.

I have this one: https://www.amazon.com/Nutri-Ninja-Auto-iQ-Blender-BL482/dp/B00NGV3X2W/ref=sr_1_7?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1518667488&sr=1-7&keywords=ninja+blender&dpID=51zfGBpSyAL&preST=_SY300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch

and got it on sale for 50 bucks at target. I make at least 5 smoothies a week and have 0 complaints about this product. I owned a bullet in the past and this one is much better.

For 5 smoothies a day this one is way more then enough in my opinion.

I use Frozen blueberries.

Frozen Blueberries, Banana's, Liquid of your choice, Vanilla and optionally a low calorie sweetener (or pinch of sugar) is a solid combination, imo.

That said, consistency largely depends on the quality of blender. I have a Ninja blender and EVERYTHING comes out the same consistency. I'll throw spinach in there and everything. It all comes out in 'smoothie' form. On the other hand, literally every other blender I've used does not do that. You really need to spring for a good and unfortunately pricey blender.

This is the one I have.

It's nice, but very loud. The quality is really high though. The cups are strong, thick and have the 'screw grooves' on the inside, which I'm now convinced is how everything should be. It's worth the price, imo. It actually blends everything I throw at it.

I use this Ninja blender for my Huel.
