33. VViViD Air-Tint Extra-Wide Headlight Taillight Vinyl Tint Wrap 16 Inch x 48 Inch Roll Including Yellow Detailer Squeegee & 2X Black Felt Edge Decals (Smoke Black)

    Features:
  • VVIVID Air-Tints are an industry first: a headlight/taillight tint with all of the technologies developed in VVIVID+ premium materials. They include an air-release membrane which allows you to install the tint dry ( without installation liquid ) Ready to use out of the box!
  • This is the only film on the market that can wrap ANY SHAPE. It is super conformable with heat. It was originally manufactured for hard-to-wrap surfaces, but the ease of install has professionals saving time on any headlight shape.
  • This film is also self healing and scratches will go away with heat! Simply cut the vinyl to shape, and apply it to the surface. To make the vinyl conform to curves, simply heat with a heat gun or hair dryer, stretch and apply. Lastly, using a sharp blade, trim away excess from the headlight and you're done! its literally that simple!
  • Made with scratch-resistant automotive grade cast vinyl, VVIVID Air-Tints were developed in Canada to reduce the risk of shrinkage and peeling almost completely! The adhesive is acrylic based which will not eat through plastic like other tints on the market. It is 100% chemical safe, and will not eat through headlight coatings or damage your lights.
  • Includes vinyl wrap tools: Yellow Detailer Squeegee and 2x Anti-scratch Black Felt Edge Decal

These fit great and should be plug and play for the low beams - H11 LEDs I used (amazon)

This is the adapter cable for the H1 depending on what brand you use - Amazon link

Fanless style H1 LEDs (I haven’t tried these so you may need to try them and see) - Amazon Link

Synthetic is usually better for the car and also lasts longer. I use mobil 1 oil filters (get them replaced every two/three oil changes) and I use 5w-30 mobil 1 synthetic oil (lasts up to 5-7k, depending on your driving style). Here's the oil I use, costco is cheapier I belive and here is the link to the Oil filter

how to tell from a good/bad oil filter: it says how much it filters somewhere around the box mobil 1 filters 99.6 percentage (one of the highest)

using these two together I found ran great, the oil lasted the longest (7k miles), I've been experimenting with different filters and oils. you can run 5w-30 is more heat resistant and better in the cold (east coast), 5w-20 is good for California-like weather because it will give you some more MPG. Some people have put 0w-20 but I haven't tried that yet. Also if you take the filter and oil to your dealer they usually do oil changes for 10 bucks.

This are the headlights I bought H7s:

H7 LED bulbs

Fogs:

H11 fog lights

BTW you will need adapters to make the low beams fit. Hyundai uses an adapter for the H7 bulbs. They will only fit replacements halogens. Here is the link to the adapters I bought they work well!

My 2013 Genesis Coupe has significant chips in the paint. I'd recommend getting a clear bra, or something to protect it.

I just bought the 3M Paint Defender System to hopefully stop further damage.

>Cabin filter: isn't 7,500 miles early? Typically that's not supposed to be changed until 15,000, yeah? Although you did mention the dealer was following the Severe schedule, so maybe that fits.

I certainly think 7,500 miles is early. My own schedule has generally been to change it annually. If it actually was dirty enough to change, it's from sitting on the lot at the dealership for months before my purchase and should have been something that was changed prior to me having the keys.

>Fuel induction service: do you have a GDI engine? That sounds like something you give a turbo, and again, not until at least 15,000.

That's the best part! I have the MPi 2.0 L.

>What is this "fuel kit" you speak of? A bottle of Techron or something?

It's the product(s) for the induction service, no clue what type, but it's the kit where you pour a bottle in the fuel tank, and use a spray hose for the can while running the engine. Something like this, probably. I can't for the life of me remember what's on the shelf that we used for our fuel system services when I was a tech. Still, maybe should cost $20-$30 for the 2/3 different products.

>Shop supplies: rags, a bottle of GoJo for the sink? Coffee? Dafuq is this? Some definite double-dipping goin' on here that needs an explanation.

Right? If they used a ton of rags, gloves, etc., that's on the staff not the customers.

>All the "baby's first service visits" I've ever had with any new car have only been oil changes unless something's wrong. A reputable dealer would've stopped right there. I hope you get a survey about this and you give them some 0s along with the explanation of how they screwed you. Oh, and better luck with the dealer you pick for your next service.

That's what's so bizarre to me. It's the very first time I've brought the car in for service, so I was under the assumption that the oil change and tire rotation was all that was being done, since that's what was included in the service agreement at the time I bought the car, and I had no reason to think otherwise. There was never a price discussed, quote given, or anything to indicate some sort of payment until I was there to pick the car up and they said I owed them ~$300 (reduced to $250 once they entered the maintenance plan).

The reason I chose to go to them for the service is because they're 5 minutes from my work, so I didn't have to waste half the day getting the service done. I could drop it off, they'd give me a ride to and from work, and I'd just have to grab the keys and a copy of the services done. No cost and no hassle. So much for that...

Hey bro, I have a 2014 Gen Coupe 6 speed rspec 3.8 :)

The stock shift knob blows. I got this one.

It's a million times better.

I installed these LUYED 2 X 1550 Lumens ... Error Free 921 ... W16W ... as my backup lamps.
They work great for me.
Now to find out how long they last.

I'm actually going to give it another try I peeled all that dip off..

and ordered some of the graphite pearl metalizer
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00PYENX1U/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

if you do a couple layers of black plasti dip, and then a couple layers of this it will give you a nice glossy dark gunmetal finish, watch some youtube vids on it they are helpful

I will be doing this to the grill, side trim and rims when I return from vacation.

It’s really that that dark at all the picture just makes it look as such. They still transmit almost all of the light from the tailights.

And I used VVIVID light smoke tint. It’s like 13 dollars on amazon but I would recommend getting 2 rolls cause one wasn’t enough for all the lights

Sorry, no. I was just giving you the technical name so you'd have an easier time Googling it.

However if you're into maintaining your own car, there's always Haynes. https://www.amazon.com/Hyundai-Elantra-Haynes-Repair-Manual/dp/1620921081

If it helps, the general advice for replacing all car parts:
Remove things attached to it (wipers, nozzles)
Remove all screws/bolts holding it on
Try prying it up/off from different points
Follow instructions in reverse for the replacement part

  1. I’m sure there are a few sockets available that fit but I just use a generic spring loaded one like this

  2. I’m not 100% sure but I believe they just have slightly different labels

  3. I’m not aware of any way to add that feature to another vehicle.

>There are Bluetooth units that plug into the cigarette lighter or the aux port. You can leave your old radio alone.

I have one of those in my 2013 Accent and even though it works great for streaming music to the car system it's not that good for handsfree calls since the mic ends up being too far away. Other units might have better mics, but that would be my concern with this solution if making hansfree calls is important.

u/Bullonparade85 · 1 pointr/Hyundai

Unfortunately it won't work unless you have a iPhone and use the cable. I have a pixel XL 2 and got a Bluetooth media button. It works great. I stuck it behind the steering wheel for easy access. I can change track pause/play and change phone volume.
