Sorry for the delayed response, but I've been quite busy with school!

Never have I heard of the cup of tea supplies haha. Very unique, but I can totally get behind it. My hand warmer is also a lighter! And as for my fan, I carry a handheld folding fan with me at all times :-)

Things on me or in my fanny pack for quick access:

Lighter when someone wishes to start a fire. I carry regular BIC lighters. Gum when someone wants some gum to chew on. Always carry two kinds, juicy and minty. My go-to are Original Juicy Fruit and Extra Winterfresh. Lollipops when someone wants a lollipop. You cannot go wrong with Dum Dums since they're tasty and relatively small / not as much of a commitment as larger lollipops. Folding Fan when someone needs a breeze of fresh air. Vicks VapoRub this stuff is magic and you shouldn't ever leave to a rave or festival without it. Seriously, some next level stuff. Put a dab under your nose if the smell of cigarettes is getting to you, or if you just need something nice to smell. It will change your life. I also like to apply it to my folding fan (people love it). Small Spray Bottle when it gets hot and someone needs a mist of water. I typically add 20-30 drops of clary sage-scented essential oil to a 10 oz. bottle for extra sensory fun. Fun to spray in crowds, too, but beware, as there are a select few who don't necessarily like this. Chapstick when someone's lips are chapped. This is the most important thing I carry! Phone when someone needs to orient themselves in the right direction using the festival app to head toward the next stage. Also nice to have your schedule on your phone.

Things in my bookbag for random access:

Earphones when someone is having a bad time, you can pull them to a quieter place and play some soothing jazz or ambient tunes for them. Portable Speaker when the music stops, you can keep it going and start a little party. Extra Ear Plugs when the music gets too loud, you can offer these around (people will love you for this). Sunscreen when it's unbearably hot and you need to protect your skin. Mini Hand-Sanitizer when someone needs to clean their hands (or other body parts). Baby Wipes when someone needs to use the restroom. Bubble Gun when you're feeling extra and want to bring joy to unsuspecting people. Also, everyone loves bubbles. Extra Bubble Liquid when you're all out of bubbles but wish to make more bubbles. Fun things to hand out when you see someone who's not in a good mood, or if you just want to give someone something. I've been carrying small rubber ducks which squeak when squeezed, and colorful plastic mini slinkys. Glow in the dark aliens are also cool to have. These things also relieve anxiety or mitigate uncomfortable come-ups, I've been told. Space Blanket when the people get cold. Battery-Powered LED Lights when you need something to brighten up the mood. Incense/sage leaves when it stanks and you want it to smell a little nicer. Also fun to look at the smoke dance. Essential Oils when it really stanks and you want it to smell a lot nicer. Also fun to rub on yourself or your belongings and temporarily become the greatest smelling thing to walk the Earth. Balloons when you're waiting around at a stage and want to start a balloon party. Also great to hold on to / place your lips on when the bass is kickin'. Glow-Sticks cause why not?
Disposable Diffraction Glasses when you want to spread the joy of color. Candy when people want some candy. My go-to are Rainbow Nerds. Extra gum when the gum runs out (rare, but it does happen). Extra lollipops when the lollipops run out (rare, but it does happen). Xans when someone is having a pretty rough time. Joint when someone wants to smoke. Spare Party-Favors when someone loses theirs. Whether it's tabs or molly beans, this always happens, so it's best to be prepared and have their backs when mistakes are made. Wallet/Money when you need to buy (or sell) something. It's important to keep this safe and keeping it in an obscure pocket in my bookbag is the safest way I know of doing so.

That's all I can think of for now, but I'm almost positive I've covered it all. It sounds like a lot, but many of these items are relatively small and fit inside any typical book bag pretty nicely. With more restrictions on the types of bags they're allowing into music events, I may leave out the fun things like the bubble gun, slinkys, rubber ducks, glow sticks, and balloons, as much as it makes my heart sad, haha. But yeah, hopefully you can get some ideas from this :-)

I have a few recommendations for you.
Astro.com is good for astrology. Put your chart information in, study your Planets and what house they lie in. I really recommend learning a basic understanding of astrology, it will quickly help you tune into your strengths and overcome your weaknesses.
KRS (youtube) does good with astrology too.
My favorite astrologer is Linda Goodman. Her Sun Signs book and Star Signs book are very very good, especially Star Signs. I will say some of the health stuff she teaches should probably be overlooked (color diet) but everything else is very good.'
Astrology-numerology.com is another good resource.

For Tarot readings I recommend buying a deck of Universal Waite Tarot Deck cards. These days you can google what each card means but what I'd recommend is understanding each of the symbols (Wands, Swords, pentacles, Cups) and each element (Fire, Water, Air, Earth). Understand what each thing means, study what they mean online and then use you own intuition as well to connect with the card meaning. The Tarot truly is one part study, one part personal intuition. Learn one card, three card, and the Celtic Spread. There are some other advance ones you can learn but those are my favorite. You'll even learn your own personal ways to display the cards in your own way, again one part learning, one part intuition. I recommend the Waite deck over other decks out the as a beginner deck. Some decks completely lose symbolism and intuition requirements and while that might sound like a perk, it really works against you because the goal it to connect to the subconscious.
https://www.salemtarot.com/ is good for learning each card as a start but you'll want to continue looking up other perspectives on google as well.

The I-ching or Book of Changes is something I would say you can do every day. You can even mix it with the tarot to get more clarity sometimes. The most important thing with I-ching is that no matter the question, you must contemplate the answer and really think about it. The Iching is usually pretty clear about the question though. What I'd recommend is that you buy two books on it.
The I-ching Workbook is great for beginners but after awhile you'll really want to get deeper into it and learn more to better unstand.
https://www.amazon.com/I-Ching-Workbook-R-L-Wing/dp/038512838X

That's where This book comes into play. It's much better but the reading is a little more in depth.
https://www.amazon.com/Ching-Book-Changes-Bollingen-General/dp/069109750X/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_14_img_0?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=6AXP0JKYR7W71AP5YQPA

There is a good website too, https://cafeausoul.com/
Part of my wants to not recommend this site because I worry people over doing the questions and not contemplating enough, and the descriptions are no as good as the second book I recommended but for a website it's pretty good. I don't particularly like the Tarot card descriptions though.

Don't over do any of the tarot or iching readings. You can, but the message will become less clear and your connection may become more distant as you give up understanding the primary message. If you don't understand it, stop; give it time, and come back to it.

Understand astrology and you'll really understand everything around you and yourself. Understand the I-ching and you'll understand change and how to adapt to it for best success and following your truth and the Tarot will help you understand you subconscious.

Finally just get your diet in order and meditate. You'll get far with all this but diet and meditation will really help you excel. Cut processed sugar and carbohydrates from your diet that isn't natural fruit. Meat is ok but limiting is probably best, especially red meat (though I enjoy hamburgers on occasion)

> I know you said you have a book or something - PM me about that, I'm interested!

I've sent you a PM about the book. Glad to hear you're interested!

> What about this theory that floats around on the internet and that celebrities like Joe Rogan talk about that the pineal gland produces DMT, especially during sleep.

There is some evidence of DMT production in the pineal gland, but it's very scant at this stage. One study, last year (2013), showed trace amounts of DMT in the pineal glands of rats. This could mean that DMT is produced there, or somewhere else in the body and then stored/used there; however the amounts were far too limited to have any kind of psychedelic effect.

It's not extremely surprising, as DMT is chemically quite similar to the likes of serotonin and melatonin, so for it to form naturally in the brain isn't a huge jump biochemically speaking... it's also however not terribly interesting or useful until we know more about how much, when, why, and so on.

It could also however simply have been a freak occurrence. I'd like to see more studies being done to confirm it - especially with multiple species and animals of different ages (which may make a very large difference as well given the possible relationship between the pineal gland and the parietal eye that I mentioned).

> How did you learn as much as you know specifically about LSD?

It helps being old ;)

More seriously - I've simply read a lot and studied a lot with a critical mind. I'm a software developer professionally, but I've spent around 15 years of my free time learning and researching psychedelics and associated fields. I have no formal training, but I read university level textbooks on neuroscience, biochemistry, pharmacology and so on for fun.

Mostly, I'm just the kind of person that's both passionately curious about the world as well as being the kind of person that likes to critically analyse things. This helps to steer away from the mystical side of things (all very interesting, but lacking in anything even remotely similar to evidence) and keep me searching in more productive lines of enquiry.

> Any other books or references you'd be willing to share?

Hmmm... quite a lot.

"LSD" by Otto Snow is a good general purpose LSD book, with pretty detailed synthesis information that helps you understand the chemistry even if you're not actually planning on synthesising it yourself.

I'm not sure of your current level of skill, but if you need an intro, or refresher in to the basics of the right kind of chemistry, then Organic Chemistry I for Dummies is a great book according to my wife (who went from "no knowledge" to "able to at least understand what I'm talking about" just from this book).

For a "step-up" from there and getting to looking at the brain specifically, I'd start with (and continually go back to) Molecular Neuropharmacology: A Foundation for Clinical Neuroscience.

Aside from that, every research paper you can find dealing with related material. There's some good review papers as well for "summing up" a lot of others. One I really liked was "The Pharmacology of Lysergic Acid Diethylamide: A Review" by Passie et al.

I also found some online courses to be really good. I recently did "Drugs and the Brain" on Coursera; it was definitely a good refresher for me, and would be excellent for anyone with a basic grounding but wanting to learn more in general. There's another on Coursera called "Medical Neuroscience", which I unfortunately missed, but will catch the next time around; and one coming up really soon titled "Understanding the Brain: The Neurobiology of Everyday Life" which I'll be doing but expect to be a somewhat simpler course than the others (I'll take it anyway - re-covering basics is always good because you do find things you've managed to miss no matter how long you've been learning).

Edit: One additional thing I should have mentioned... here on reddit, check out /r/drugnerds and maybe also /r/rationalpsychonaut

Rejoice in your "self"! The way the piece is drawn in patterns is really fun and impactful on chems. When you feel joyful enough, give yourself a "hand". 😏

(and in all seriousness, this is a fascinating work, but it's one that I *do not* think is just completely a joke. I think that beneath the snark and humor there is something real being said, and from personal experience, I can say that there are aspects of that thing being said that do *not* seem to me to be, necessarily, healthy...caveat emptor, is all I'm saying - I had some weird LSD-like experiences around this book when I was NOT tripping, and I'll just leave it at that, PM me if you want to know more)

I listened to the audio book while driving across the country to burning man. It's a good dive into some of the history of LSD and to a greater extent MDMA. If you're into what MAPS is doing, check this out.
