So its going to be a big change for you coming from a compact phone to a phablet. If you have large hands, using it with one hand is possible for most cases. If you don't have large hands, you'll most likely be using the phone with two hands and you'll get used to it in a good way! You can still use one hand on some ways but I use it with two. If you really like the phone, you will accept the size and appreciate it over time, I know I have!

Since the phone is big as it is, I didn't want to get a otterbox case because that would make the phone even bigger. Instead I got this Spigen clear case which is pretty good in my opinion, no problems at all. I mainly got it because I want the phone to be noticeable and lightweight.

icarez tempered glass was hands down the easiest screen protector i've ever installed, and in fact, the only install i would consider a success. zero bubbles and easy to get it lined up straight.

This is your best bet. If you don't want to do that I recommend the Mr shield case. It comes with two just in case you mess up or if one breaks

Edit: forgot to mention I use this screen protector along with the case and it works perfectly fine

Ehh... Any MicroUSB cable should be able to handle the amperage. I use Amazon Basic MicroUSB Cables and they work perfectly fine for me. It's definitely the charging brick that is impacting his ability to use the device and charge at the same time.

edit: this is the other one from ozrly. this is actually the one i settled on. i love that it has a kickstand and holes that keep the 6p cooler. most of all, i like that it is a really slim, but highly protective case. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZmNHx2_2kw0

The SPECK, on the other hand, is a tank. I've dropped it 5 times with the speck on a tile floor and it's been fine.

For $230 including overnight shipping, it's an unbelievable phone (4/64GB model). Runs better than my Nexus 6p did, nothing lags, screen looks great, finger print reader is fast and the built in nav for it is really cool. Camera is not terrible, pretty good in the correct lighting (kinda falls short when dark), and is waterproofed. The only complaint is the large bezels around the screen, but it's truly a monster of a phone for the price. Extremely happy with it after a couple of days of use.

EDIT: I got it open box from Newegg, no longer available. Looks like Amazon has it prime eligible for around $240, still a hell of a deal. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MR2ZFBI/ref=twister_B01NCYZTP4?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

I have the Diztronic and love it. Had it for my Nexus 5 as well. I really like that there it is just entirely matt black with very, very little branding.

I paid $3 for a Roocase. Is it the best case ever? No. Does it protect my N7 and form a stand for it? Yes.

Thanks. I ended up ordering this cable, which although not reviewed by Benson, got really positive reviews that indicate fast charging is working without problems.

I've used [this Nektek] (https://www.amazon.com/charger-Nekteck-Charger-Adapter-Integrated/dp/B0172QQNBY) since February and it works perfectly. Benson Leung approved

If you have a CD tray you don't use, get the Koomus CD mount, http://www.amazon.com/Koomus-CD-Air-Smartphone-Android-Devices/dp/B00HRKI5V2/ref=pd_sim_107_1?ie=UTF8&dpID=512x4RXhzBL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR160%2C160_&refRID=1DYKS4K9G7CFV8KSZ81P#

the thing is great! fits my 6P with a case, grip is tight on the phone, but easily removed. it fits very securely into your cd tray, not at all worried about it falling out of a big bump or something. and it doesn't block your air vents. ;). Of course, you can't use your cd player anymore but I use AUX so it doesn't matter. I prefer these to magnet ones since no one else can use the mount in your car but you.

I got this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00J2QUWTW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I only really use it when I'm outside the house with the tablet (almost never so far), but it is a very snug fit and seems like a decent stand.

Keep an eye out on slickdeals. I grabbed one of these 3000mAh packs for $6. It was a lifesaver on a recent vacation thanks to me using Uber to get around, GPS walking directions, uploading pics and video to social networks, etc.

I have used the Nexus 9 since release. I have seen many people complained of various issues but I personally never had any. I love the tablet and have been having a hard time finding a replacement but it's hard to deny that it's rather slow. I use it almost strictly to stream videos from various apps and it does that perfectly fine.

I have never used a Tab S2 so I can't say much about it.

I would recommend looking into Huawei Mediapad M3 Lite and Lenovo Tab 4. I haven't used either but they are newer than the Nexus 9 and Tab S2 so I assume they are faster and their prices are comparable. But if you plan on streaming from Netflix be sure your device can actually stream in HD.

I recently bought the cheapo Amazon Fire tablet (when it was on sale for $40).

Flashed a stock rom on it and I love it. Cheap and effective stock experience.

If your car has an AUX in you could get a Bluetooth car kit. I have this one and it works great for me: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00GJFGE0K It has a stick on backing so I mounted it on my dash and zip tied the cables under the dashboard to keep them out of the way. It works well for calls, music and navigation. To answer a call you just have to press the button on the front which is convenient if it's mounted on your dash.

Also, as far as charges go, I bought the official 'Google' charger:
https://store.google.com/product/usb_c_charger?hl=en_US

And then the following cables:

Anker 1m A to C cable: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0119EIHTG?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=od_aui_detailpages01

iOrange 2m A to C cable: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B010VFFU1W?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=od_aui_detailpages01

It appears that only 1m cables will deliver USB 3.0 speeds. The phone doesn't do USB 3.0, but good to have for future proofing. The Google charger will be used at work, the charger that came with the phone plugged in by the couch. The 2M cable will be paired with a 'slow charging' brick (My Nexus 7 power adapter) and the 1M cable will be my multi-purpose one for my portable battery pack, or for the car. Should probably buy another 1M just to have it around.

I use this one sometimes for Pokemon GO. The capacity is about the same as the phone battery so it should make your battery last twice as long. And it's small and light enough to just fit in your pocket. Using Ampere I get a charge rate of about 1000

u/Lanky_Ape · 2 pointsr/Nexus

iOrange-e comes highly recommended. I have one for work, where the outlet is across the cubicle.

u/jrobinson1705 · 1 pointr/Nexus

I use this one. Comes with a lifetime warranty in case it breaks...the screen protector, not the phone. https://amzn.com/B0168XT3E6
