Couple of questions:

1. What do you recommend for a more portable charger for the switch dock? I'd like one that fits in a case better than the official one but is still perfectly safe to use docked outputting to the TV. If it can also fast charge phones, that would be a plus. This would be used paired with an official dock I transferred into a more portable shell.

Any USB-C cable that is "USB-IF Certified"

EDIT: Wait, the Anker battery with the Nintendo Switch branding? It comes with a good 3ft USB-C cable in the box lol.

EDIT2: if you want a longer one, there's a ~$9 6ft Startech.com cable on Amazon, a $12 Anker one, or you could grab this Nekteck USB-IF Certified USB-PD 45W charger. Comes with a 6ft USB-IF certified cable as well. It will power a docked Switch as well as charge that Anker battery as fast as possible. I use it to charge mine :)

This is a case with a built-in charging stand and L-shaped aka right angle USB-C to USB-A cable. It is not a dock, as it has no HDMI out. It does not include a power bank. Nor does it appear the manufacture offers a power bank. There is no built-in USB-C connector. The cable itself threads into the case and is the connector.

You would need to provide a USB-A power bank. With USB-A you won't charge while playing many games, but it would extend your playtime by a few hours. It would also charge the Switch okay while asleep.

Good quality USB-C to USB-A cables cost ~$6-7. AUKEY has some on sale for $3. I don't know how well I would trust the cable included in a case selling for $4 total. No sign the USB-C to USB-A cable has the recommended 56k Ohm resistor.

As the cable is not built into the case you could replace it. That and a good power bank would mean no potentially bad electronics to deal with. This USB-C to USB-A cable as the same right angle and lists having the 56k Ohm resistor. But it only comes in a 3-pack.

While you're swapping pieces you could also try a USB-C to USB-C right angle cable, such as this one. I couldn't find a USB-IF certified C-to-C right angle cable with a quick search. With this you could use a USB-C power bank. I don't know if I would trust the outer strap to hold a 20,000mAh model. But the Anker PowerCore 13400 Nintendo Switch Edition or AUKEY PB-Y13 could work.

Of course all that assumes you like the case as a case.

That is Amazon, sort of. It is a European branch of Amazon that handles the logistics of shipping and customs to simplify importing European products to American Amazon shoppers. You can even see here that the filters recognize this as an official Amazon Global Store product.

The "sort of" is because this might result in hiding who the actual seller is. Amazon hasn't said much about Global Store so we don't really know if it is only for items shipped and sold by Amazon on Amazon UK or if it also masks third party sellers.

That said, I'm betting this is sold by Amazon and is actually this £39.99 listing. But after shipping and customs, it isn't really a good deal to import for the US.

Yeah I felt that too when I tried the demo on the switch. I think it is because of the offset analog sticks when compared to the playstation's controller with the analog sticks on the same axis. I've seen a usb dongle that can allow the switch to accept any bluetooth controller so you could play with a ps3 or ps4 controller. These are two I've looked at since the regular joycons keep cramping my hands.

My thought is that it would be better to get a battery from Amazon Renewed. They're refurb but I swear, it's the best buy I ever made at $18. Will charge my Galaxy S9 twice AND my Switch once and will probably still have some juice left over. I'm only sorry it's not available right now, but I'd still give you the recommendation.

You may consider listing this C-C cable, too. It's a right angle C cable, which I've found very useful for playing in handheld in the bed.

I bought this one since it has USB C and an extra USB A port (which I can use for my phone). 46 Watts on the USB C port too.

I just didn't like how the 60W one has to be plugged into the wall with a cable rather than mounted right on the outlet. But for that sale price it might be worth it to grab one.
