Shouldn't you be able to use something like this (female TRSS, to split male Mic/Audio TRS).
Plug the Mic TRS into the phone or other audio device's audio out.
Use a male to male TRSS to plug the OP-Z into the female TRSS end of the splitter.
Then use the screen-shift command to manually set it to the TRSS Mic sampling input.
