I can't speak highly enough of knipex's slip joints and especially their pliers wrench. Holy hell do I love their pliers wrench. This Raptor is also exceptional, and all the Raptor branded hand tools are are a very good quality for a very fair price.

Makita, Milwaukee and Dewalt all make very serviceable cordless tools. My brother runs Makita and likes them a lot. I'm in DeWalt, and some of the new 60v stuff is really cool. Also Dewalt has this impact driver which has a push button bit release instead of a collet and a three speed torque selector. Probably my favorite tool of all time.

Honestly I can swing $34 just fine if it saves me a week of landlord phone calls and maintenance appointments. Does this attach directly to the sink somehow? I'm super game to resolve this myself.

Sorry if the image is rotated, couldn't figure out how to get it up right.

I am trying to figure out who makes this faucet. Some searches suggest Kingston, but they have not been too helpful in confirming. I cannot find any labeling anywhere on the faucet. I need to replace the hot and cold water cartridges, and possibly the diverter cartridge. I've ordered these from amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00A27WK18/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 (one hot and one cold). I'll see if they work, but if not I'm back to square one.

Any advice on how to identify this piece would be great!

Won't help with plumbing but picking up a code commentary like this one on amazon can help you understand the code. Obviously get one that applies to your state code. This is especially helpful if you are doing new/remodel construction work.

Yeah, I would pull the toilet. I am betting its beyond the toilet though. If it is, you can try one of these once you have the toilet pulled. They work like a champ and are cheaper than renting a snake.

Look at it this way, its an opportunity to replace the wax ring, re-caulk and replace the rusty nuts and bolts on the mounting flange.

Looks like a Moen Positemp to me. Make sure you use genuine Moen parts, not knockoffs. Remove the cartridge, clean up the inside of the valve body, I use a fitting brush, flush the valve out into the tub, I just use the stop tube, apply silicone grease to the rubber seals and O rings on the outside of the cartridge, put it back together and test. If you're getting sand and grit in the valve try using a spindown filter on the water service / well tank line.

is your sink on the other side of the toilet?

you can just tap off that supply. bonus with this option is to use a mixer and get luke-warm water instead of freezing cold-water only for the bidet.

you'll have to learn to wash your butt with your left hand.

or step into the FUTURE

What about something like this????

https://www.amazon.com/Woodford-122PX-Wall-Faucet/dp/B008N3LBOU

It has 1/2" pex fittings spaced 5 inches apart (I don't know how those stubs are routed in the wall, so I don't know if this is a good fit for your application) The same company also makes wall mount versions that are supplied by surface mounted pipe/tubing so that you could route those stubs up the wall, adding your shut-off valves inbetween.

This is all assuming that it doesn't freeze in that location.

I recently purchased this Moen handle to replace my current knob. I realized today that the new handle does not fit the cartilage due to the size difference. Do I have to replace the cartilage with a cartilage that is compatible with the Moen handle (Moen 1225 Cartilage) and if so will it be easy to do?

Thank you!

What happens if you turn your tub on first, let it get hot, and THEN turn on your sink? If they're fed from the same line it might help a lot. Otherwise, there are plug-in 'instant on' tankless water heaters you might be able to install under your sink. I would DEFINITELY get permission before doing something like this though. I'm a landlord and wouldn't appreciate a tenant making these kinds of modifications without asking first.

This one looks promising but has only one review: https://www.amazon.com/Focket-Electric-Tankless-Fashionable-Temperature/dp/B07TC4QQPV

Yes, but out of both taps in the kitchen. For instance:

Only hot valve on: hot comes out of both hot and cold tap in kitchen

This valve is what's installed at this point: amazon.com/gp/product/B001AI1VMW

This trim and cartridge will be installed after the tile goes in: amazon.com/gp/product/B06XHR3Y4W

( just want to be sure the water mixing and coming from both taps is normal before I do the tile )

I don't have any personal experience with the Drain King, but it is well reviewed on Amazon. What drain is clogged?

Pencil, marker, clean rag. Kneepads, don't fuck around without knee pads you will regret it.

These in 7,10,12"
These are for when you have smooth surfaces/ new fixtures and you need them looking good. Crescent wrenches are fine but don't open up a damn.

That's my quick recommendation, those will be enough to get you into trouble.

Moen (that is a Moen Chateau shower valve) makes a one and two inch stem extension kit for shower valves using a 1225 cartridge, they also make an adapter kit so you can use new trim with older valves; replace your cartridge while you are at it. When looking for new trim, search "Moentrol trim" on Google.

That's a Moen shower cartridge. It's either going to be a Posi-Temp cartridge or a single handle cartridge. The set clip is what you see pictured at the front of the valve where you see kind of a raised piece on the top front of the valve. Shut the entire house water off before removing said clip, then you need what's usually called a "Moen Tool" in our trade. Moen 104421 Cartridge Puller for 1200, 1222 and 1225 Single Handle Cartridges https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00083EC6C/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_pZqbzb2N5HVJA
Pull that sucker out and match the cartridge at a box store.
I assume the cartridge would be this one. Moen 1225 One-Handle Bathroom Faucet Cartridge Replacement, 8.5 x 2.5 x 1-Inch, Brass https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0006290R6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_t0qbzbB59YRF0
Best of advice if you don't know much, call a plumber. Could save you a headache and a bunch of wasted time, or possibly a ruined shower valve. Shouldn't be more than a $150 fix.
