Thank you!

This is the kicker light - I've only ever seen this one and they haven't sold it in years.. but it's really a neat item!
Fotodiox Pro 20x30" Back Light, Kicker Light Softbox with Speedring for Multiblitz Varilux Strobe Light https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0054EMDOI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_6Ru6Cb3A8CZ34

It has an angled/diffused light that does a really nice job of filling in shadows!

my experience so far:
I was out yesterday in 7-13 degrees C weather and I had no issue with the film. I put it in my hoodie pockets and my body heat was enough to prevent any green tint.

my first time out with a Polaroid it was around - 2 ish degrees C which indeed caused a green tint.

thought/idea, have not tried:
you could also get a bag and put a reusable hand warmer in there, you know the ones that you boil to restore. they don't cost much. they will hopefully work. I mean for a longer walk you'd need more than one so you could swap them as they go cold. this should keep your film packs warm when not in use.
something like:

Hopefully some of them will come out with a cool, artsy look to them. Once you use up those packs, the least expensive option I could find was Impossible 600 film for $21 a pack with prime shipping. ( http://www.amazon.com/Impossible-PRD2959-Polaroid-600-Type-Camera/dp/B00GQRU4D4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1421863892&sr=8-1&keywords=impossible+film+polaroid+600 )Each pack has only 8 pieces of film in it. That's $3 a photo! I'll keep playing with my instax 50s (roughly $.82 per image when bought in bulk) and Polaroid Land 250 that uses the Fujifilm FP-100c film (which I can get for $.90 per photo). I hope you take some cool photos and post them to /r/Polaroid!

I don't think the bel-air is gone but you're right I cant seem to find one. I have a converted Polaroid 110B with a belair and its great so if you like the camera be patient or contact Nate at http://www.polaroidconversions.com/ he did my conversion. He might have a back to sell. You could if you wanted to tinker try to convert to mini instax with the Diana mini back https://www.amazon.com/Lomography-Diana-Instant-Back-Black/dp/B0027DK206/ref=sr_1_fkmr2_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1496325889&sr=8-1-fkmr2&keywords=belair+instant+back

Apparently Polaroid had a custom screwdriver for those as well as a special tool to remove the pins from the hinges. Some of the people still doing SX-70 repair today are lucky enough to have those.

I was in the same situation when I was trying to remove the shutter assembly on a sonar model a while back. You've got a couple of options:

1). The expensive option is a driver machined specifically to these 1mm square screws. They can be bought on eBay for about $130.

2). Some have made their own version from a larger screwdriver head using a Dremel tool or even hand filing it down.

3). What I ended up using was a #6 spanner bit after seeing someone else have success with them. A little bit of trial and error filing will get one tip of the bit to the right size (you'll also need to shave down the other tip or it will get in the way). Here's what I bought, though you could probably find the right size at a hardware store too:

I managed to get 3 screws off without a problem, but I ended up stripping the 4th because it was pretty tight and difficult to get a good angle on. I really wish Polaroid stuck to the Torx screws on later SX-70 models...

This is the one that I use. It works great, and it looks really nice as well. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005WQTDT6/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_i_SQ5wDbZJXVEXJ

These sleeves fit the Instax ones pretty nicely, with a bit of extra space.

u/Papierfliegerbauer · 2 pointsr/Polaroid

Aside from the string/clothespin classic, I use the empty film cartridges for my Instax shots. Can be hung like an ordinary photo frame (requires nails, obviously) or put in display on desks.

Edit: I'm currently considering on getting these, though, looks pretty neat! https://www.amazon.com/Kikkerland-Photo-Holder-Magnets-Black/dp/B0029SHUTA

I have the regular 300 (I have been through 2-300's and 8-210's, dismantled a bunch of them to repair other ones but some plastic pieces just break.) check this out as some nice protection/just a cool case. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01EZRFYUO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Don't drink and take photos, I have dropped many instax/holga cameras.

This is what I do - I got the photo corners, and put them in a notebook (I use a moleskine as an album), and use the label maker to put the dates etc underneath... this is the label maker I got:

it looks pretty cool once you get a few pages full!

My brother bought me one of these, I put my good shots in there. The okay shots and fails go in an old LG phone box, its the perfect size for Polaroids.

Welcome to the family! These boxes are overpriced though. I use this :

This is the one: http://www.amazon.com/Lomography-Diana-Instant-Back-Black/dp/B0027DK206 (or here: http://shop.lomography.com/en/diana-instant-back)

Unlike the one on Filmwasters, I was able to get mine to focus properly with much fuss. The "trick" is to remove the plate binding the bellows to the focal plane, and then glue the bellows. Without the plate you can get the Diana back sitting directly on the focal plane.
