Hi, my job is selling and building computers.

I suggest going for an AMD apu to start. This one would be a good start You get a good processor that's very capable of gaming at lower or medium settings on modern games at a good price.

The motherboards aren't too expensive but get the quickest ram your budget will allow.

The other advantage is that you have a good upgrade path since you can add a 6670 videocard later and the apu and card will run in crossfire for pretty good results.

Go for a 1 TB Seagate drive to start and look into an ssd later.

I suggest a 500 watt power supply to start with for later upgrades. Thermaltake has good ones for very decent prices.

Get a cheap case, we sell some decent ones for as low as 30$ from lepa and Delux.

The OS is the tricky part on a tight budget like 1000$ for 4 pc's.

You can do gaming on Linux and the support is getting better. Steam has a pretty large selection.

Windows is the best gaming OS but that's 400$ for 4 oem copies.

There are "alternatives"...

Good luck and ask me for advice if you need it.

Edit: I forgot you will probably need screens, mice and keyboards.

You can get new mouse and keyboard combos for about 15 to 20$ each.

For screens I would go the craigslist or local selling website route. Big old crt's are a dime a dozen. Try thrift shops too.

This is so kind of you. I already have the book I want, but I want to gift a copy of it to someone else.

I created a free database of tiny house communities (SearchTinyHouseVillages.com) and I travel to tiny house festivals each month teaching people about creating & living in tiny house communities. I bring this book with me as a recommended read for those that want to start their own tiny house community. At many of the festivals, I meet inspiring people who are trying to create tiny house communities for all of the best reasons (social health, reduced carbon footprint, helping those who are marginalized, etc). I'd love to be able to give the next one the book to help move their projects along more efficiently.

Can you maybe make an amazon wish list to give some ideas? Something work related might be good, but something just for fun could be good too.

For example, do you think he could use something like this http://www.amazon.ca/Youngstown-Glove-03-3200-78-XL-Anti-Vibe-Performance/dp/B0000950RG/ref=pd_rhf_se_p_img_2?

Or this http://www.amazon.ca/3M-Tekk-Protection-Folding-Earmuff/dp/B00467AHXI/ref=pd_rhf_se_p_img_2

For something work-ish related.

Or for a little pampering something like this?
http://www.amazon.ca/Dr-Scholls-DRFB7010B3-Vibrating-Foot/dp/B005967L7U/ref=pd_rhf_se_p_img_3

Or this: http://www.amazon.ca/OKeeffes-Working-Hands-Cream-3-4/dp/B00121UVU0/ref=lp_6371091011_1_6?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1418632243&sr=1-6

Or something like a daddy-time box that has things like hot chocolate pouches, his fave candies or other treats like nuts or popcorn, a small book or calendar with nice scenery in it, a book of short stories or one of the chicken soup for the soul books, or a comic book or something, an audio book or 2 he could listen to on his work commute, things that won't nec take up a lot of time for him to use but some new little things to show your appreciation.

Throw out any ideas you can think of and maybe some of Santa's helpers can help you out :)

I would love this I love Pokemon and I would love to add him to my collection. He's my second favorite Pokemon of all time! I love Shadow Lugia so much!

Though, my boyfriend would love this He loves Dragon Pokemon, and I know he'd love to get this as a gift. So, if you pick me could ya gift me that to give to him? He deserves a gift. :) Thank you for this amazing offer.

Thanks for this!

This is admittedly copied and pasted from a very similar offer. I'm posting between classes, so little time and there seems to be a time limit. I'm teaching summer classes at the moment. I'm working in rural Korea as an English teacher, which has very different requirements from working as a UK teacher, as you may gather from my wish.

---

While I'm tempted to repeat my request for a game which I'd really love and would keep me entertained for hours, as the prequel did or ask for decent candy/a food package since some things are hard to get here, I'll request something more worthwhile to my future, as I get the feeling that it's this subreddit is more about.

I could use any of these books. I want to do teacher training for primary (elementary) school in the future and these would help me succeed. Used is fine. Some of them aren't too expensive, but the main problem is delivery. The books are from England (and for the English educational system). I live in South Korea.

If delivery is too expensive/not possible, but you choose me, you could have them delivered to my family in England and I could ask for them to be sent to me by my family for Christmas.

In order of usefulness:

Thanks for reading.

Edit:

While I doubt I've won (I'm guessing the people who got follow up replies or comments stand a higher chance) I'm finished teaching, so I can add a bit more.

The books I've requested are to help me study for, get into and to eventually get through a postgraduate in Education. I work abroad in a country where the currency doesn't translate to much when I bring it back home, so money can be tight as I have to save most of it for the course costs and other related costs to eventually do it. Most of the books are ones to learn about teaching skills - something I know about somewhat because I teach now, but some are more specific to Primary schools in England and the course. I've also included a mathematics study book, since I'd like to brush up on some of the later concepts. It's been about ten years since I took a mathematics course and I've done some study online, but it seems more helpful to have a book which covers everything on the test.

Hey, PA (and former EMT) here. I wouldn't stress about stethoscopes yet. You won't need one until clinical year of PA school, and it certainly doesn't need to be a Littman, although they are nice. If someone if willing to share an old one that is very generous, but you can get by with a cheap one as an EMT and a student. Best of luck!

Edit: Here is a link to a stethoscope that is more in a student's budget. Definitely will get the job done: https://www.amazon.com/Dual-Head-Stethoscope-GreaterGoods-Lightweight-Professional/dp/B077Z1BXH4/ref=sr_1_13?ie=UTF8&qid=1550021106&sr=8-13&keywords=stethoscope+cheap

Good for you! I work in IT/AT for a program that teaches teachers to work with students with special needs, so I know that being a teacher nowadays is a tough job & I commend you for going into the field of (special?)education.

That being said, do you still need THIS? If so, I would love to gift it to you in congratulations of your progress thus far.

I am already certified to teach English in my state, but I would like to study for (and pass) a few more certification exams. That will not only make me more desirable to hiring districts/principals, but it will also let me be a better teacher for the kids in my classroom.

Thanks for considering me!

I AM NOT A PROFESSIONAL EXTERMINATOR. But here's something that worked for me and another family.

https://www.amazon.com/Tempo-Control-Insecticide-Spiders-Silverfish/dp/B0041ND0ZY/ref=sr_1_7?keywords=temprid&qid=1574039270&sr=8-7

That stuff mixed with cold water in a sprayer. Do it every couple of days. It will take a couple months to fully get rid of them all. Spray everywhere! In all the cracks, in bed frames, etc... One bottle should last 28-30 sprayings. Some suggest using double strength the first time or two to really knock them down.

You'll need a sprayer like this: https://www.amazon.com/Chapin-International-20000-1-Gallon-Translucent/dp/B000E28UQU/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=gallon+sprayer&qid=1574039711&sr=8-5

Fill halfway with cold water, dump in 8-16 ml of the insecticide (it comes with a measuring cup as you can see in the product picture), and fill the rest of the way with cold water. Spray EVERYTHING. (I hear it doesn't last sitting in the bottle so dispose of it after spraying and make a new batch every time but could be wrong.)

The Bedlam is good or so I hear but will not last nearly as long as the Tempo SC and the sprayer. There are also 'single serving' packs you can get. https://www.amazon.com/Temprid-FX-Insecticide-8ml-Bottle/dp/B07DYCB5TT/ref=sr_1_15?keywords=tempo%2Bsc&qid=1574040070&sr=8-15&th=1 One to two packets per gallon of water.

Long story short, with the loss of a car, my boyfriend has to walk a few miles to work every day. We've been struggling to make ends meet, and he has sacrificed so much to make sure that we are taken care of. Christmas is scarce this year, and we can't afford presents, but he would love to have some tunes on his journey to work.

Why did the tomato turn red?

It saw the salad dressing!

I don't need this but I would like to use it to buy a cheap ps4 game
