It's a Citizen Eco-Drive chrono, purchased on the 3rd St promenade in Santa Monica for $190. Mine still runs after 10+ years, and looks great on a black leather strap with white stitching. Eco-Drive is amazing.

A brown leather NATO would look very nice with that. Barton makes a nice one, take a look and see what you think. 18 mm will fit.
I’m about to pull the trigger on this watch, and these strap recommendations help enormously. I am leaning toward a quick release over a NATO, mostly because I want an unobstructed view of the rear window. Anyone have experience and pics with a silicon strap like this Barton?

I wasn't aware that they had a short-ish lifespan. I just thought they weren't as popular because the movement is more niche, per say.
Perhaps I will look into solar movements. Would you say there is a discernible difference between Citizen/Seiko in terms of value?
Also, I just want to know what you personally think about the Citizens that I posted at the bottom of the description. I haven't found any Seiko solar watches that I like except for the SNE107. I'm not sure about the silver bezel. If I were to buy it, I would probably get it on the rubber because I could wear it to class and it would be comfortable.
how about a SNZH55. Comes on a bracelet but it can be dressed down on a nice brown leather strap like this for a younger look

Your best options are some sort of quartz Seiko, maybe solar. If your budget were a bit higher I'd be recommending an SGG729, with a sapphire crystal and titanium bracelet, which you can find for $119.

Strapcode Super Oyster
This is the stock strap off of the black and brown Timex Weekender . It’s a 20mm on the SNK’s 18mm lug width, so it’s a bit stuffed but you make it work. I would t know where to get the strap by itself, but there are plenty of good leather natos on cheapestnatostraps.com or clockworksynergy.com
