ACoA literature is really wonderful if you''re into spiritual stuff and things like healing your inner child. their daily affirmation book is lovely

https://www.amazon.com/Daily-Affirmations-Adult-Children-Alcoholics/dp/0932194273

these are the ACoA "promises"

  1. We will discover our real identities by loving and accepting ourselves.

  2. Our self-esteem will increase as we give ourselves approval on a daily basis.

  3. Fear of authority figures and the need to "people-please" will leave us.

  4. Our ability to share intimacy will grow inside us.

  5. As we face our abandonment issues, we will be attracted by strengths and become more tolerant of weaknesses.

  6. We will enjoy feeling stable, peaceful, and financially secure.

  7. We will learn how to play and have fun in our lives.

  8. We will choose to love people who can love and be responsible for themselves.

  9. Healthy boundaries and limits will become easier for us to set.

  10. Fears of failure and success will leave us, as we intuitively make healthier choices.

  11. With help from our ACA support group, we will slowly release our dysfunctional behaviors.

  12. Gradually, with our Higher Power's help, we will learn to expect the best and get it.

Yepp, I didn’t want to get into the various examples of how my mother was like amber but, it’s amazing after being diagnosed with ptsd as well due to my childhood that was like shocking to me... my psychiatrist diagnosed it and pointed out my triggers whereI would start shaking and crying talking about memories, I just always had a drawer in the back of my mind I’d stow them away in. Case in point of how BPD is and how I also related to the Amber/Andrew situation... amber tore down a door with a machete? MY MOM did it with a BUTCHER KNIFE. And I have a scar on my upper arm from where I was holding the door shut absolutely fucking terrified of this monster who, like you said the next day act like it didn’t happen.

Oh and the fun part of bpd, it’s narcissism. I was the only girl, I was competition to her. Once I got to be a teen I was “ugly, no one would ever want me” etc.... then when I was an adult? Those men she’d see hit on me when we would try to go along and go out for a couple drinks? She would return to those bars and sleep with them. Or a guy messaged me on fb and I show her laughing at what a tool they are to think that I would fall for some random messaging me? Oh she slept with them to. The final straw was she slept with a guy I was dating‘s friend and him messaging me she left the bar with said friend. I moved out after that one... There was 4 men in a span of a year she did this.

On my wedding day, she refused to take photos with family, she didn’t say one word to me at the reception, screamed at my dad and my grandma (my dad obviously divorces her) so I stomped up and said she can stop it right now or she leave.... no apology, I just check my phone after she goes to the parking lot telling everyone how she’s gonna kill her self and I find a text from her “to never contact her again”, it’s been a year and it feels so fucking good I obliged on that request.

Edit: idk if you have but read Stop Walking on Eggshells: Taking Your Life Back When Someone You Care About Has Borderline Personality Disorder ... it made me cry and say that was me! I couldn’t believe other people understood and experienced the same things.... I have it as a pdf if you want it, I can pm you the pdf of it 💕💕💕💕

Ooo I love looking for outfits/shoes. Do you watch 'The Bachelorette'? I just started watching it since I've heard so much about it, and there is an outfit Hannah wore on one of her dates that I think would look really great style-inspo for court in the summer (and other occasions), in a modified version. Here's a picture of it, obviously you would want a shirt different from a crop-top and longer pants.

I'm looking on Amazon since they ship quickly.

Pants: Here's one that has an array of cute long, striped, loose fitting pants in different lengths, colors and patterns. Loose/long would absolutely cover your ankle accessories :)

Shirts: You could do a loose fitting collared shirt that is still cute/trendy tucked in, depending on the pants. This shop (is that what you call it on Amazon? Or seller?) has all different colors and styles. Another style that ties at waist or could be tucked in. (Other styles: Belle-Sleeves , Classy 3/4 Chiffon ).

Shoe Ideas: - Standard Black Pump that's not overly tall (I remember Oprah saying everyone should own a classic black pump and a pair of leopard print flats and it always stuck with me-- I'm surprised how many times I've ended up wearing both).

- Classic Summer Strappy Heels

- Steve Madden 'Dress Sandal' Heels

- More of a Chunky/Summer Heel

- Simple Black Flats (Pointed toe) //Simple Black Flats (Rounded Toe) // Simple Black Flats "Lacey"

Editing to add other things I'm finding while browsing. These are 3/4 Sleeved Lightweight Blazers that would be great for summer and come in every color under the rainbow. You could even wear it over some type of wide legged jumpsuit if you found the right one that had more of a simple top part.

Sending you a 🌟 Lucky Court Star 🌟

I've been buying one, two and sometimes 4 at a time on ebay for several years now. I especially like the more atomic type Shiny Brite ornaments.

I got my tree on Amazon about 10 years ago, it's 4' tall and similar to this, I think mine was Kurt Adler brand at the time:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MQG4BE6/ref=twister_B07KQJ3L8J?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

The tree is actually very full if you unbend and spread out all of the tips correctly. Mine is perfect height to keep on a little table, this size would be perfect too. Target also carries a similar tree called champagne tinsel tree, same size for about the same price, it's more the color mine is.

I don't put lights on mine, just an uplight behind it. It's gorgeous, folds up to store in a flat box and is still in perfect condition after 10 years of use.

I'm eager to get my tree decorated this year!

preggie pops!! they were a lifesaver for this pregnancy, I’ve been sick since the pee stick dried & only started feeling better at like 26 weeks. Oh and diclegis, if you can afford it. It was covered by insurance for my first, but not this one & it made a world of a difference.

Good luck & congrats momma!! Sending good vibes your way!! It flies by so try to enjoy it, even if it’s miserable 😉

Let me start by saying, I don't have a background in hair. If anyone has professional experience and frowns upon my products- share what you know. I wish I could teach you how I do it, Bacon but even though I can't- I can share my products!

-I have the first generation of this hair dryer (The key to a hair dryer is the nozzle that directs the heat at the end) You can probably use any brand that you have already or prefer as long as you have that attachment

-Ceramic core natural bristle hair brush, I have had mine for so long that they no longer sell it but this one is very similar.

-Blow dry clips to separate hair out into four sections while wet (You can probably make more sections if you would prefer it. I just use the same 4 clips because I only bought one packet) Any clips will work, honestly.

-Bed Head Volumizing Cream

- Sun Bum Heat Protector

I do a deep conditioning mask every other week to keep it healthy and don't use bleachy hair dye because my hair is dark and I'm not adventurous enough to bother. You can use any deep conditioner you like. I just use raw coconut oil. I slather it on, on every other Sunday evening and keep it on for about half an hour before taking a shower and shampooing/conditioning like normal.

Checkout youtube for tutorials and happy blow drying!!

They are the best! I'm a NICU/PICU RN and my son is almost 11, I was kind of a sleep training Nazi (with a pretty rigid schedule/naps from birth to about 3 years, even at 4 years old he didn't nap anymore but I insisted on 1 hour of "quiet time"). I also did the CIO method which I know some people just can not do, but the result is a kid that loves sleep just as much as his dad and I do!! This is what I used-starting at like 3 years old-set for 0730 am and he'd sometimes wake at 0700 but never came out of his room until the light turned! He'd look at books or play quietly in his room until he could get up. https://www.amazon.com/Good-Nite-Lite-900-381/dp/B002N4IN0U/ref=asc_df_B002N4IN0U/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=222189693293&hvpos=1o5&hvnetw=g&hvrand=5398284593935943688&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9030810&hvtargid=pla-362506696483&psc=1

Here is a link to the Etsy book that I started lettering with! I started lettering about 1 year ago after purchasing this book from Etsy. It comes with the best beginner pens to practice. It shows you multiple ways to write each letter so you can find your own style.

The pen i'm using in this video is the Micron 08. The glitter gel pens are the Pentel Sparkle Pop Gel Pens.

My FAVORITE small brush pen is the Tombow Fudenosuke hard tip.

They went up to 6 but that’s for 2 pairs. 💰🎉✍🏼 Public service announcement: Don’t get a name brand srsly there’s ones for way cheaper!! All of them use the same ingredients as baby foot and if you pay 12 or 20 for the ones with like 3000 reviews you’re getting scammed, babe!

This is the book I was thinking of. I'd appreciate an RL Stine version more I'm sure!!
