so, its likely that you have the 5m-ge engine. quite solid.

as per the auto trans, it is unlikely that the fluid has ever been serviced.

get a pump and remove 2qt of ATF, then put in 2qt of new ATF.

you can use something like this:
https://www.amazon.com/Bstean-Plastic-Steel-Syringe-Matching-Injection/dp/B01HFTYIMO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1484535080&sr=8-1&keywords=reverse+brake+fluid+pump

it'll reverse/pull out via the dipstick tube. that way, you can accurate measure how much you remove.

do NOT drain the whole trans, then put in all new ATF - you do run the risk of blowing up the trans if it already not in the best shape. :(

when you are extracting fluid out, be attentive to the color of the fluid. use this photo as your guide:

if your fluid is in the 'dark/burnt' area, once per month, remove 1qt of ATF, then put in 1qt of ATF. this process will slowly cycle out the old and replace it with new, until it looks similar to new fluid. its the safest way to ensure a happy auto trans.

in total, the A43DE stores just shy of 7qt of fluid total, but the slow method i've described will take more than that in total.

as per general parts, Gates belts/hoses are top notch, EBC (red or yellow) brake are the minimum that i go with and rockauto.com has a ton of other small bits.

i use and resell amsoil - if you want my discount, just pm me and i'll assist.

I have been looking at a Kenwood unit myself, along with a Maestro adapter I can still use all the steering wheel controls and gain the ability to reset cel codes and monitor tire pressure. Apple CarPlay is just a bonus.

Indeed, I was asking that, if I could find the manufacturer for that filter, so I don't have to spend extra for the toyota logo, I found:

for mahle filters and its price

for fram filters and its price (it says high mileage)

and ofc the one suggested by another redditor bosch 3311

Now I have to ask, which brand is better, thanks in advance

Not a RAV4 owner but I have one of these (below) in my IS250 and it's great.

This may not be what you need but you just a few spots here and there, Toyota makes a great spot remover that smells nice.

to my knowledge, that year it didnt. hence the reason i said pulse the throttle. little bursts of low gear input and it should give more grip than normal. then again, i got THESEfor a friend with an older non crawl tacoma. worked like a charm

Its a pretty good penetrating lubricant. you can find it pretty much anywhere. its what I have on my shelf at home, but your choice of penetrating lubricant would probably be just fine.

It's an '05 SR5 Pre-Runner with what looks like the stock radio in it. I bought it used in December. A friend just suggested this option. Reading up on that now and trying to get ideas.

DONT USE THE WRENCH SHOWN BELOW you will crack the canister!

You need to use the proper device similar to the one you got from Crappy Tire. What do you mean it didn't fit? I have one I got from an autoparts store which looks exactly the same and it fits all my Toyotas (Matrix, Corolla, Rav4, Tundra).

You have to line up the tabs. Did you remove the metal tab first?

Pro-tip: it is easy to over-torque the canisters which makes them an absolute bitch to remove after driving for a while. Use a torque wrench set to 18 foot pounds (IIRC - its written on the one cartridge). I strong recommend you get this or something like it https://www.amazon.ca/Toyota-Filter-Release-2-5L-5-7L-Cartridge/dp/B07F42KVP9/ref=sr_1_1?crid=14I2BJVA207XD&keywords=toyota+oil+filter+drain+tool&qid=1555962577&s=gateway&sprefix=toyota+oil%2Caps%2C155&sr=8-1 it makes it a lot cleaner.

Remember to replace the metal tab after you torque the canister.

If it didn’t come with factory remote unlock you can usually have it added aftermarket. Not sure if the dealership would install it for you because it would be a 3rd party system like this

This dash mount is by far the most sturdiest, easy to use, and intuitive mount I've come across. I'm sure there are better ones out there but they're so cheap, I bought one for each of my family members.

Like what other redditors have said, the problem is gonna be your source, not the vehicle. I'd reccomend looking for a portable external DAC/Amp. For example I use an audioquest dragonfly red but that might be a little overkill for you. Try looking into the black version it's a little cheaper, or maybe check out some options from Fiio. Dont worry if it says headphone amp, itll still function just fine for loudspeaker applications.

Something more like this...

https://www.amazon.com/Saddlemen-3516-0151-Trunk-Lid-Organizer/dp/B008BYQ2VI

...But with Toyota branding.

Found this with the Google search terms "car trunk lid organizer".
