They sell these shitty little glass pipe cutters on Amazon - here's one:

https://www.amazon.com/Cutting-Plastic-Tubing-Cutter-Diameter/dp/B01LX50VY5/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1480702008&sr=8-1&keywords=glass+pipe+cutter

Listen dude, all it takes is the will to do it, a little mechanical dexterity, and some coil building experience (which you get as you go along). Oh and some tools and supplies.

It's not that hard - if you fail you waste some wire and time, no biggie - I've had a lot more failures than successes - but I'm pretty happy with my current best.

Listen, there are lots of basic building videos on YouTube - and lots of people here you can ask for pointers. =)

This one seems great because the colors on it are pretty inconspicuous. If it’s in my backpack, size won’t matter a whole lot to me.

That one is 7.9x1.6x3.5 dimensions. Pretty perfect for around 2 g’s of wax and all the other things I carry

Amazon sells small pelican cases with cut-to-fit foam. They're water-tight, you can lock them, and they're really solid. Biggest downside is they're a tad on the bulky side, but if you're like me and plan to pretty much just keep the case in your car it's the perfect option.

I've been using a titanium tool to slice and transfer, along with a plastic interdental pick.

Those picks are magic. The gooiest stuff I have won't stick to them so they're perfect for dislodging from the titanium tool or pen wall and repositioning the slice onto the coils.

Of course, I'm careful not to get them anywhere near a hot coil or pen since they aren't heat-safe, but otherwise they've worked great. It's possible I could slice and transfer with them too, and eliminate the metal tool, but I haven't tried it.

There are also silicone-tipped tools out there (search wax tool on Amazon or google) but they tend to rip the covers pretty quickly. Most of this stuff is just dental tooling or similar repurposed.

Here's the rundown...

It's not made to deliver huge clouds. It's designed to vape wax specifically on the go.

I carry a 7ml glass jar... (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M2WGV0V/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_H1W4CbE5HP5EY)

...and smear a little over a rice grain worth of wax on the ceramic tip.

Do I need to reload often throughout the day? Yes.
Can you use it as and e-nectar collector? Yes
Can you use it while plugged in? Yes
Will using it as nectar collector require you to clean the device more often? Yes
Heavy daily use requires multiple charging and it charges at 0.50 amp.

UNDERSTAND THIS IS INHALE ACTIVATED ONLY THERE ARE NO BUTTONS!
You can hit it with or without the magnetic cap. I usually put the cap on carefully to not wipe wax all over the inside. I close my hand loosely around the caps air holes and inhale depending on how much wax is loaded. Medium/soft for a large load and harder the more it vaporizes. You'll get the hang of it after a day or two. It really depends on how much you load, how hard you inhale, and how much the battery is charged, to use this device

I have one much like this, except a few more buttons. It's ok. It's just a little easier than the SamuriaiSam method. The coils do not come out perfectly clean like I expected. When I burn them a little to burn off ISO after drying, you get a burnt hair or dust smell. I'm not sure if anything else could do a better job, however.

EDIT: /u/MAXVapor710, do yours have the smell when burning after cleaning? and what coils are you cleaning?

Seems like you get more for less and if you have prime free 2 day is a nice touch,

This temp gun is pretty similar (I can't find the same one I have, but it's just a cheap one)

And yeah, environmental conditions make a big difference, but smaller local changes affect it too. Walking outside from a controlled climate into whatever is natural is pretty disruptive even for easy-to-TC coil materials. TC is just finicky to begin with. DNA mods account for it with extra temp sensors that read changes in ambient temperature, but even that only goes so far, and is susceptible to things like bodyheat influencing it.

99.5% on amazon if anyone is interested.

Anything above 91% is preferable. 70% has water and other additives, but it will work. Higher purity iso works better, and more importantly, purges cleaner will less left over residue.

u/Of_the_bull · 1 pointr/Waxpen

The case doesn't come with foam. I actually got this foam and cut it down to size of the case.

the TAF is a Trvp an it is super dope. Once you've dialed in your settings it is truly an awesome piece. What kind of mod are you using? TC?

I think simple is better, too much gear and you're going to lose it - remember you're getting stoned. Here's a pic of my daily carry (only a single mod & atomizer at a time):

https://imgur.com/oszMgdH

  1. Mod w/ atomizer.
  2. A silicone container that holds a day or two worth of dabs.
  3. My dabber - stored in a hollowed out pen casing to keep the sticky shit contained.
  4. Though not shown, sometimes I'll carry an alcohol wipe in the package - but I only wipe it down every other day or more so no longer carry them as often.

It's simple, easy carry, and discreet. I carried that gear into an office on a daily basis till I started working from home, and never had an issue.

Edit: I use these regularly enough to recommend for your device maintenance to get some alcohol wipes - useful for cleaning all kinds of stuff:

In that case, the syringe is pretty handy to have. I got this variety pack from Amazon < link > so I could try different sizes, and the 1ml (smallest one) ended up working the best for me to load the B-coil.

I use it to make homemade liposomal vitamin C as well. Great supplement IMO.

u/coolcosmos · 1 pointr/Waxpen

Yeah it comes with a screwdriver but I prefer my own.

I have this: https://www.amazon.com/Coil-Master-DIY-Kit-Mini/dp/B07448LY3H

It has it all. Great coil jig and all the rest.

Oh you may have just saved me a head ache, I was looking at something completely different from a vape shop that like a toy in comparison. This is what I am looking at now, it should work...https://www.amazon.com/Tacklife-DM01M-Multimeter-Detection-Temperature/dp/B01M7ZD1VN/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1521157178&sr=8-2&keywords=thermocouple%2Bmultimeter&th=1
