Your frying pan wasn't hot enough. It takes longer for them to heat up than you think.
A good temp for pancakes is 450-475F. You can measure it with one of these. It'll put you in much better control of your cooking.

I have that exact same model fridge which was surely designed to get water in the floor. Almost every day it dumps water in the floor.
Fixed the switch issue myself, the part is very cheap on Amazon, like $2 cheap. I’ll send a link if you want.
Edit: Amazon link below for switch I used to fix my LG fridge for this water switch after pulling out the part and looking up the model # online, $6. Apparently it’s also for used microwaves.

Mode one:key needed from the outside always
Mode two: Key needed from both sides.
And apparently although common in some countries not so much elsewhere.
The little lever is for manually opening once key is double locked that lever is disabled.

Edit: I've done some Google-fu and the only other animals that come up are dinosaurs, and I can't find a definition that includes any animal outside of "birds of prey". However, I think if someone gets/has this book that popped up in the search, we would all know for sure.
