Not cheap. You might have to cut into your weed budget.
Lift, tires, winch, flairs, bumpers.... total guess here but maybe 5k just for the looks. If you want to really get into the suspension, gears, and engine, double, at least.

Edit: Okay, lets do some math.

-3.5″Rubicon Express Lift w/ Front superflex adjustable control arms $1649

-5 –33×12.50-15 A/T tires (spare is a maxxis M/T) There is always wiggle room here, we'll call it $250/tire = $1250

-5 –15×8 Steel D-window rock crawler wheels We'll call that $60/wheel = $300

-Black Mountain rock bumpers both front and rear = $560

-Black Mountain 8000lb winch plate and roller lead/recovery ring = $550

-Bestop trektop w/ tinted windows = $596 (but hey, free shipping!)

-Xenon 6″FLares tube style, have been painted to match = $563

-2 sets of really bright LED offroad lights (this depends on brand, "really bright" doesn't tell me much.)

-Fabtech Rocker sliders (I couldn't find these for the JK)

-Interior floor has been completely rhino-ined for easy cleanout (any liner will do)

So, just with those numbers (that do not include any shipping) and not counting the lights, truck bed liner, or grab handles, we are up to $5468.
Yes, I'm sure you can find some of these things used, but my estimate stands.

OK dont worry you guys. I've got this. First things first, you're going to need to open up a credit card with a high limit. $30k should do to start.

  • Rubber Floor Mats. I got the Mopar ones. I might suggest Weathertech instead. If you have the unlimited, you can get mats for the back was well. I cannot find any mats for the back of my two door :(
  • Have a dog? Plan on running with the roof off? Want to prevent them from falling out? Safari Straps have your back.
  • Off Roading? I suggest some tire deflators to air down conveniently, and a portable air compressor to air back up.
  • Grab Handles are great. Here's one example, but I recommend shopping around. Theres a lot of different styles, find what you like.
  • Hi Lift Jack & Base. You'll quickly find off road that the stock jack will not get you out of a lot of situations. The base is helpful on soft surfaces (wet dirt, sand, etc).
  • Change your own damn oil! It's easy. No jack required just shimmy under there. Make sure to get an oil catcher big enough for your motor. 6-8 QTS if I recall correctly.
  • Buy a shovel. Invaluable off road
  • Recovery Strap & learn how to use it properly.
  • Mechanics Gloves. Again very helpful around the jeep.

That should get you off to a good start. Eventually you might think about replacing the bumpers, adding a tire carrier, lifting the jeep, getting bigger wheels, adding a winch, adding a roof rack.

Chinese ebay/amazon special, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00SKN9PNC

Those bumpers go by different names - Restyling Factory, Paramount Restyling, Rugged Ridge, E-Autogrilles, now EAG.

Obviously handmade by low cost labor with no regards to detail but it wasn't all bad. Lots of other people like it a lot; I might have just gotten an unusually rough one.

I know most people look for stubby bumpers on the front for open/exposed fenders look but I was being a bit more practical with the selection. I wanted something heavy duty with a winch plate and holes for the OEM fog lights. Full width that would protect the fenders if I smacked a sapling but still provided great approach angles. That one seemed to fit the bill at the time. It's pretty beefy, weighs about 80 pounds. The winch doubled that requiring the upgraded springs.

I don't know what that dash cam is, but I have this one:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MRGY1IO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_tcZozbJYGM9WJ

It has GPS, sound, and great video. I think Garmin has a newer one that is smaller, but this one is just fine. It also suction cups to the window, so you can take it off easily and you don't have to stick anything to the windshield permanently. You can take it out and take pictures with it, also.

Funny enough, between my husband and myself, we have recorded 5 accidents (not us, but people in front of us) since we got cameras. It's nice to be able to pull over, hand both parties a business card, and then provide them video if they ask. We got them because he was hit by a fraudster who tried to make a claim against us, and sued when USAA denied their claim. I can't stress enough how helpful having a camera in the car is to protect yourself! No matter what you buy, get a camera asap if you don't have one!

Foot pegs will change your life.

I got some MOLLE seat covers that I enjoy, having pouches to keep things attached down with the doors off is key.

Shorty antenna. Same radio quality, only 5" long.

Bikini top is nice but personal preference really.

Flip open key is more comfortable in pocket.

Thanks! It was definitely a goal of mine to have all the wiring as tidy as possible. I suppose that's why the setup still doesn't work :). I could just toss some relays and inline fuses under the hood and be done with it, but I'd rather build a housing for that stuff. I'm hoping to find a water resistant plastic box that's big enough for at least 8 fuses and 7 relays. I'd use something like this perhaps for the positives, and a smaller bus for the negatives. I'd like to mount the whole contraption on top of the brake booster. I'm struggling with that right now, though, trying to source a good sized box and figuring out how to mount it.

These are the best headlights I’ve bought. I know it’s after market but it’s sooo easy to install and it’s plug and play. Except for the DRL. Just my opinion hope it helps.

I am not a fan of LED headlights by any means. Most people do not know how to aim them correctly, thus blinding everyone they come across.

If you have your heart set on LED lights, I highly suggest looking at this website:

http://www.danielsternlighting.com/tech/tech.html

The guy's name is Daniel Stern and he is THE guru on lights. He gives an extremely detailed how-to on aiming LED lights. He also gives tutorials on how to correctly aim normal bulb headlights. They are extremely detailed, but rest assured, he will give the best advice

Alternatively, you can go the route I took and purchase Cibie (pronounced cee-BEE-ay). It is a brand made in France or Belgium, I believe and are european code lights. I have run them in my RX-7s, Miatas, and other cars to which I have received no complaints from cops or anyone else. They give an amazing light pattern, and give plenty of light (feathering) on the sides of the road which really come in handy when deer and the like are out.

The link to them are here from Amazon:

https://www.amazon.com/Cibie-082440-82440-Light-Unit/dp/B008DQV88Q

Make sure to buy the bulbs (DO NOT TOUCH THE GLASS WHEN INSTALLING!). I purchased the 60/55W bulbs, also at this link:

Let me know if I can answer any other questions!

For most of it I would say look at replacement speakers. Should be some reasonably priced Infinitis around. I know Kicker actually makes speakers specifically for the sound bar.

The sub, the stock sub is about as slick as it gets in my opinion. It takes up no space as it fits flush with the floor pan. Not earth shattering bass but I feel it when it's bumping. I'd totally do that one again. I think this probably also fits that enclosure but I'd double check first.

Head units...I am looking at a few also. Something with mirroring or android auto. I have this one bookmarked for later reference. Might get it myself. Curious if it supports using the Jeep's microphone though as it's placement is pretty good for wind noise reduction.

Interesting! I hope it works out for you. I solved the JK hood flutter issue by getting the stronger Daystar rubber bands, like these: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B019QJI2QY/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I installed these 2 years ago.
Lantsun 4 Inch 60W CREE LED Fog... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01CQ8ST1A?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

I wouldn't call them plug and play, but I'm not a mechanic or electrician and I was still able to wire them up in a matter of minutes. They're super bright and very clear. Despite winter driving, puddle busting, and off roading that submerged them in mud, they've worked fine until just a few weeks ago. The halo effect still works on one light but the full light won't come on. However, I haven't had a chance to inspect it, so it's entirely possible it's just a loose wire.
