You can go to a jewelry store or buy a set of ring sizers off Amazon for around $6.

248, 214, 325 all use them, for 214 and 325 you get your own new breadboard with the lab parts kit. Also, buy your own jumper wires like these ones https://www.amazon.com/Breadboard-Jumper-Wire-75pcs-pack/dp/B0040DEI9M, the ones in the lab suck.

Avoid the hammocks with bars at each end. Go for a sling type hammock.
I've seen a lot of students use these to attach them to the trees, but I haven't seen anyone use towels.

This is a really good book by the author of Moneyball, The Big Short, Liar's Poker and others. It details just how different the incoming Trump Administration was from the prior Obama and Bush Administrations, and how dangerous that level of incompetence continues to be.

Anyone see anything good on Prime Day that meets the TAMU requirements? I was leaning towards the ASUS ROG Zephyrus S Ultra Slim Gaming PC Laptop but I think I need to prioritize a laptop with 4-year accidental damage warranty option for all the coffee spills and drops...

There's no 100% theft-proof method which sucks but it is just the reality. But you *can* make it damn hard. Here's what I did b/c I was in the same situation as you.

  1. Invest in a good fuckin chain. Any chain can be cut with enough time but a thief won't waste time on a bike with a heavy chain when there are plenty of bikes/scooters/etc. in Cstat up for grabs. I bought a used one of these: https://www.amazon.com/Kryptonite-York-Fahgettaboudit-1410-Chain/dp/B001JPS200/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1543377402&sr=8-3&keywords=faghettaboudit.
  2. Always lock your steering when parking
  3. Best place to park would be a house garage. But if you're like me and live at an apartment, park in a highly visible area with foot traffic and preferably with other bikes/scooters (strength in numbers, yo). And *make sure* there's a steel beam/pole or some shit you'll be able to chain your bike up to. Bonus points if there are cameras too.
  4. Having a bike cover would help too but I don't personally use one.

The key in all of this is to make your bike the biggest pain in the ass to steal. You don't have to do all of this, just be better than the other guy who parks his bike in the area.

To add, I wouldn't look for "i7". Intel uses the term "i7" in some rather misleading ways, such as for i7-U-series chips, which are near-negligibly faster than i5-U-series chips, and are considerably behind i5-HQ and i7-HQ chips. If you need CPU performance for something, you need HQ. If you don't have particularly intensive requirements, don't worry about i5-U vs i7-U.

That said the Ideapad 700 is good. One additional point to it is that it avoids the very poor quality of most of today's laptop-grade TN screens (poor contrast and viewing angles) by using an IPS screen. This is something that you unfortunately have to watch out for even in a number of more expensive models (Dell, ASUS, and MSI are among the biggest offenders). The difference: https://i.imgur.com/Sajajqc.jpg

You can get it $625 through the other link, or $689 (apparently $629 but it seems sold out at the moment, not sure if it'll come back) here with a 256GB SSD but 8GB instead of 12GB RAM. Note from this link it does offer more expensive models, however for those higher prices it's not worth. Much better options exist for those prices if you had a higher budget.

And there's this $515 Ideapad 510 that uses a U-series CPU and lower GPU but keeps the IPS screen.
