Something that I recently invested in for my PC was a NZXT Hue 2 Ambient Lighting kit which has a bunch of extra features.

I play controller on pc and I've been thinking of making the jump with something like this. Having the thumbstick for movement may help since wasd movement is hard for me to nail down. I will miss shooting with a trigger though. Pulling a trigger wand feeling the rumble is so much more satisfying than clicking a mouse.

This is great, I wish games could let us customize every aspect but the core game play aspect. I'd like to have my own music in the game instead of theirs. I know about Pandora or Spotify, or using 2 headphones which didn't work too well for me.

It just sits on your desk, the audio quality is excellent and you don't have to have an additional wire dangling from your headset.

One tip I forgot, get some kontrolfreeks for your right joystick, if you don't already have them. These are what I use. They take about 5-10 hours of solid gaming to get used to but once you do both your aim and movement will improve noticeably. They give you a major advantage over anyone who is not using them.

I got Pathfinder and Lifeline but it looks like they have most of them. There is at least 15 different colors you can choose with the remote. I had low expectations but it is pretty cool.

Don't listen to this advice..no insane gamer will use a fucking 12 button MMO mouse...actually the dumbest thing i've heard in a while. Don't start with 1400 dpi either...try 800 or 400. Most pros and good players play 400 or 800. Plus those mice are biggger...you want something that feels good on ur hand. G Pro , Finalmouse , just a few examples. You have a keyboard for binds....you don't need a mouse for that.

As I said it is DIY - but it really isn’t hard. There are plenty of tutorial videos on YouTube. I competed mine in like 30 mins.

I got one right when Apex came out. It does take sometime to get used to (muscle memory wise). But I can’t play without it now. Even in games that aren’t Apex.

Not only is the sound and mic good, these are by far the comfiest headphones I’ve ever tried and I went through a good 7 or 8 headsets before I finally found a headset I can wear for extended periods of time without it hurting my ears.

I know two people who got this monitor this year and have been very pleased. It is only $109 so hopefully that fits your price range.

I play on a Samsung monitor I got back in 2010 and I have yet to play on a TV that gives gives me the same feel.

SSDs are super cheap these days. And M.2 SSDS (PCIE) are like 4-8x faster than SSD :O 500gb for $150 USD? While normal SSD is 70 ish.
