>As for your “race realist” beliefs, the way I see those theories is that they are backwards rationalization of “innate” human capacities based on results of recent history (a time period that accounts as a mere tick on the entire span of human time-line). It also does not take account the effects of disparity in starting points of geography and environment, and different available starting packages offered by said environments.

They're not backwards rationalizations for the results of recent history. Evolution never stopped, different selection pressures have been placed on different lineages of humans ever since they diverged some 40-50k years ago when the group that became our ancestors (all none Africans) marched out of Africa. And the theory of course takes into account varying geography and environments, in fact they were the very driving force behind the evolution of different population traits or averages. Culture and biology are intertwined, they can and in fact have co-evolved with each other throughout our evolutionary history. If you're open to learning more about this, The 10,000 Year Explosion is a good primer on the topic of recent human evolution. It is an easy (even if you have little knowledge on genetics) and succinct read, but is definitely compelling in the theories it puts forth as they are backed up by ample evidence.

>if you want to subscribe to “race-realist” beliefs, then you might as well save the effort and just kowtow to the white man's self-researched “Goldilocks superiority”, and accept your current lot in life as a second/third class worker drone. After all, if “race-realism” is real, then everything as manifested in the status quo is the natural order of things right? Why struggle instead of just accepting the world order? It's yet another comfortable trap of contentment to curl up in after all.

You speak of "subscribing to 'race-realist' beliefs" as if it's some religion one can just choose to follow or not. It's either science or it's not, and if the former, then I have no choice but to "subscribe" to it. For every group of people, there are theories in the race realism framework that would make them uneasy and perhaps feel some sort of immediate revulsion to. But at the end of the day, how one feels about these theories are completely irrelevant, if the research methodologies are sound (which after having read many books and studies on both sides of the debate, I've deemed to be so), then the ensuing results and conclusions must be incorporated into our understanding of the world. Admittedly not all aspects of racial differences are well studied, which is exactly why they should be, science and knowledge in itself is neither good nor evil, morality only comes into play when it's time for their application. And again, just as evolution never stopped at the advent of human cultures, it continues to enact itself even today, and will continue to do so for as long as humans exist. So just because the white man might be the "Goldilocks" currently, doesn't mean Asians cannot become strictly better in every genetic metric that matters via the application of science. So no, understanding race realism does not at all necessitates one to "just accept the world order".

>Empathy could be useful for knowing your enemy, know what makes them tick, and devise how to deal with them. Going beyond that becomes sympathizing with them, a pit of no return where you become their useful idiot.

Yes point taken. But again, I'm not at all advocating for Asians to put their necks out on the line for them right now (or ever if one chooses not to), but rather once our position is secured, why not help the other groups of people? It is the moral thing to do. There's little to be gained from being cruel masters.

>As for morality, I got only one word: Lol. We Asians are family-oriented though, so save that morality for your loved ones.

This ties back to my earlier point that humanity is an extended family. You don't treat all members of your family the same, do you? Of course not, that would be impossible. Some you like more, some you like less. Some you treat better and help out more, others you're simply indifferent to. But at the end of the day, they're still your family members. Barring unforgivable transgressions, you would not usually wish irreversible ills upon any member. And so it goes for me when it comes to humanity.

>Why is it always individuals from the losing side that talks about reconciling with everyone to sing cum bah yah? Why is it that Asians, the most ridiculed race on planet earth, who have the least reason to want to reconcile, have most people among them that want reconciliation?

Hopefully you realize by now that's not the message I was trying to convey. No illusions of pleading and begging the victor for pity and scraps on my end here. The future goal is exactly that, for the future, after we get our own shit taken care of. East Asians are well on their way to reclaiming the throne for the top civilizational center of the world. The dominance of the West over Asia is an aberration through the lens of history.

>You want to change the rules of the game from zero-sum (the way history and nature had operated since inception) to something else? At the very least, you have to be in charge in order to have any chance of changing the rules.

Precisely. This was implicitly stated in my previous comment, guess it wasn't clear enough.

>And all this without even having to look at how all utopian ideals fail to address how to change human nature to make that utopia work.

I don't believe in Utopias, because that implies there is some idealized final destination for society, which goes against science. And yes human nature needs to be changed for the better, it will continue to evolve, just as it has always done so. But if science and technology grants us the choice to direct it to a course that would be beneficial for all of humanity, why not take it?

>then we are eagerly wanting to break bread and seek commonality with white nationalists.

In general, Nationalists (who love their own) are not Supremacists (who hate and oppress others), this applies to nationalists of all races, whether they be Asian, white, brown or black. And if they follow similar core beliefs as those that I outlined, which many do, then they can definitely be reasoned with and made into allies for the common Human Nationalist cause. I'd die for my family, have love my people, and do good for humanity.

>What “unique strengths” would that be? Whites are more adept at leadership? Asians at being mental workhorses? Blacks at being physical workhorses? Latinos at keeping the spaceship decks immaculate?

Lol. Not everyone needs to work or even be on the spaceship. In any case, by the time such efforts become feasible, the state of science and technology (especially wrt automation) would likely be very different from that of today, so it's rather pointless to speculate about it now.

Yes. Borderline Personality Disorder mother and a Narcissiric Personality Disorder (though this diagnosis is rarely given because narcissists rarely seek therapy unless they are forced to or suffer a flash of light live-changing usually traumatic experience where their narcissism no longer can protect their false dreamt-up reality using others as ‘narcissistic supply’)

My parents sandwiched me growing up with their V-spot BPD-NPD real-self dance when they inadvertently and advertenly activate each others’ false selfs and defense mechanism who are unable to procure true real romantic intimacy to support an authentic true-self loving household therefore inflicting role-reversal enmeshed narcissistic abuse onto their self-esteem identity/indivislity developing children.

Which is why hordes of internet schizoid-like Internet-type dudes are trying to resolve their fundamental core inability to expresss true genuine feelings of true intimacy with friends, relationships, others, etc. because of a ‘beta’ father and an ‘abusive’ mother in a dysfunctionla nuclesr family structure, if at all. And we live in an escapist dreamworld trying to live vicariously through Hollywood superheroes to imitate — or for the Asian community an idealized person to guide and relate to; the idealized Asian father figure to sooth and ameliorate our lack of identity, self-esteem development, and masculinity.

Luckily for me, my father was masculine so I have no problems standing on my own two feet with dudes of all backgrounds (hustlers, ex-cons, and blue-collar, nerds, etc.) but the romantic part is very difficult for me right now because of an emotionally toxic mother with no immediate female relatives to relate to as a child. This is why long-term insight-oriented psycho dynamic talk therapy is critical to address the identity issues and garner a stable self-image and develop healthy self-esteem building in a ‘safe-space’ private dedicated session with an if good objective psychoanalytic psychoanalyst/psychotherapist. But HMOs/insurance/self-pay don’t want to pay for this only to cheap out with superfiscal cognitive-behavioral “jussss change ur thoughts about the ordeal” approach, rather than bringing about unresolved unconscious intrapsychic conflicts from (early) childhoods that arrests our core identity development/self-esteem building (confidence) as individuals in this “I”-centered Westernsphere whereas conversely Confucianism culture of asserting direct confrontation of “I” or “you’re xyz” is vehemently disrespectful in the interpersonal culture of indirection.

...but Confucianism/Buddhism teaches us we must embrace suffering and self/sacrifice for a better successive generation tomorrow. Our immigrant parents bring this collectivism mindset but to navigate American life, we must assert ourselves as independent functioning individuals with self-stability and self-constancy of who we are. Simply said, the West values the individual irrespective of the family despite the aristocratic lineage rhetoric as Hollywood always admires a great rags-to-riches underdog movie. Whereas the Confucianism East desires to maintain peace, harmony, order and peaceful resistance of nonconfrontation.

However, the irony is that growing up in the Anglosphere we have to garner a dialetically diametrically opposed dualistic strategy of collectivist Confucianism at home and individualist identity in the non-Asian real-world. The village community doesn’t respect the individual because you’re deviating from the social norm and ingroup clique and their collectively shared self-esteem and group identity. Whereas the West cherishes the Johnny Appleseed wanderer, Lewis and Clark expeditions, the visionary dreamer for whatever xyz dreamt-up upotia. The East wants to maintain the Confucius scholar-beaurcrat hierarchy. Essentially, America’s narrative is to explore and find family and a sense of community as an individual leaving home, whereas the East wrt to China desires to maintain internal social stability our 5000 Han Chinese homogenous familial hierarchical family. And it is no mistake that the Asian-to-Asian connection is vehemently ingrained into our inner concious fabric through generations of solidarity until our ancestors lost out our internal familial peace where the Qing dynasty failed his people to the West/Japan with the Century of Humiliation.

Western religious history and narrative is one fraught with master-slave savior-savee god and his followers and competing interpretations of the biblical texts therefore causing seemingly intergenerationally perpetual Holy War conflicts, aggresive exploitation of religious enemies, and war to conquest others to occupy religious superiority and “englightrnment” to them through pillaging villages and indoctrinating the “superior” religion into others through newly erected religious institutions. ....Confucianism has none of that. Heck, Buddha respects his followers worshipping of other Gods. Though the other religions respect you for worshipping other Gods is of their own issue.

Additionally Confucianism culture teaches us to not seek for extraneous help for fear of looking weak (maintaining ‘perception amnagement’ just like we curate our happy social-media happy moment reel to manipulate a certain image in the shared 3rd digital/cyberspace dimensional realities) and keep family matters private as to not air-out dirty laundry in order to ‘save face’ and not being shame to the family name — as in defeat and loss of status. But the crux of the matter is that the family systems dynamic is vehemently unhealthy due to intergenerational trauma and familial tug-of-war narcissism, especially given that immigrant parents self-sacrifice to economically bust their butts but along cling onto their children for emotional security in this new foreign world as we try to forge our own narratives and identity. The more we grow to be American with individuality, the more it counteracts the intergenerational Confucianism familial planning in the name of maintaining the preservation the lineage successive dynastic ‘family name’. (Indians are in the extreme with arranged marriages) Luckily for me my parents despite their narcissism are open-minded cosmopolitan individuals and don’t mind me Americanizing and imposed any racial dating restrictions.

well, being a doctor or an engineer or a lawyer is just job, a job that pays well and suffer very little discrimination. Interest has very little to do with it. Personally, I'm an engineer and has economics degree and very interested in history. If interest alone dedicate my career, I would be a historian which a specialization in historical economic development. (similar to the person that wrote this) However, as early as high school, I know this is a field where who you are and who you know matter way more than your abilities, and often times you don't write stuff or do research in things you actually like or want, but rather what has funding and what will make a splash. Since I'm not ready to spent my entire career ass kissing and write stuff that I really don't believe in, (who knows what Gordon Chang and Fracis Fukushima actually believes in their own mind), I went for engineering,a career in Engineering has none of this bullshit. It is a field I mildly interesting in, I'm pretty good at math and science, and I like to build computers, so why not. So far I like my choice, even though economic and history classes in college are the ones I enjoy the most (so much that I went for a degree that I know I'll never use).

Perhaps you are talking about becoming a jock and engage in the the anti-intellectualism BS mainstream media likes to promote. Just remember, even at height of your glory, you will only play second fiddle to white people in a popularity contest. When things fade, and you never made it as actor or sports star; the only career open to you is operating a restaurant, as most ther blue collar field are extremely racist either from you customers or your peers... (unless you like restaurants business, which is pretty much hell from my POV.)

As much as I appreciate Marvel opening up to the China market with their Man hua , 漫画, or Chinese comic inspired works, I find the new Asian characters in DC and Marvel to be more appealing because I can see myself in them as an Asian-American.

Examples:

Amadeus Cho - Korean American Hulk

Jimmy Woo - Chinese American S.H.I.E.L.D agent

Ryan Choi a.k.a the Atom - nuclear physicist from Hong Kong who takes up the mantle of the Atom. Equivalent of Ant-Man in Marvel. He’s even a playable character in Injustice 2. Never thought Neatherealm studios would do that tbh.

AM heroes have existed. They are from their Native countries however.

Kong Kenan - Chinese Superman

Silver Samurai and Sunfire from the X-Men... guess what they are introduced as villains and are converted into heroes by the x-men. Sound familiar?

Draken - half Japanese son of Wolverine

For obvious reasons, there seem to be disproportionate representation of Asian men compared to Asian women. However, I think with time, demand will rise and there will be an more even ratio of AM/AF heroes. And if I’m not mistaken, Elektra is also of Asian ethnicity.

There is even a video which addresses this point on lack of AM representation.

Link: https://youtu.be/sAB8-1Gkn_E

Regardless, I believe a universe of Asian characters should just exist regardless if their native or foreign born. They should be promoted with their own comics then be slowly introduced into the mainstream Marvel and DC comics with heroes that we all know like Superman and Captain America. They should follow the formula which made the MCU popular where individual storylines are introduced and you have them team up for one huge cross over. I think this is the approach that all comics take but it’s the correct approach.

Hopefully, most of the writers are Asian otherwise you would lose that experience in relation to culture. I heard some comic book writer got a job at Marvel with a Japanese pen name. That’s not cool. Esp when your using another ethnicity to get ahead of your career.

Asian superheroes go out for Dim Sum:

https://www.yomyomf.com/dc-comics-asian-superheroes-go-out-for-dim-sum/

An comic that involves a crossover with a well known superhero that I would recommend is Batman: Hong Kong which came out in 2003. Features an triad turned vigilante who teams up with Batman who travels to Hong Kong after being asked by Commissioner Gordon to help the HKPF apprehend an hacker who had posted a live snuff film. The art style is a mixture of man hua inspired pieces and typical art you would see in an DC comic.

You should definitely check out the books Gene Yu wrote about having to shed the negative aspects of his asian upbringing when he went to West Point and joined Army SF. I definitely recognized a lot of the cultural programming that our parents (if they are recent immigrants) instilled in us that could potentially hold us back in the west.

The road to self actualization is definitely harder for asian men. So encourage and foster your brothers. Be an example or a leader, and help other asian men down that path.

Lifting won't solve society's problems. But it will instill confidence and masculine mastery in a man regardless of race or background.

Having a firm handshake and speaking slowly and clearly won't take away systemic bias. But it will make you earn the respect of western culture peers.

Being a man of your word won't defeat the internalized racism of less thoughtful peers. But you will become more respected, and an example for others.

Small changes add up quickly, and compound over time... just like it does with investing and progressive overload in strength training. We just need to help get more bros on the path.

This book reveals the truth -- East Asia enjoyed very long periods of peace before Europeans infested the region. China was a largely benevolent super power. Tributary states were left to mind their own business for the most part. Also, tributary states received more gifts from China than the reverse. The tributary system was a way for China to bring order to the region and gain acknowledgement of cultural superiority.

Yes these are hopeful signals. I would add:

  • The emergence of tech as the locus of economic growth in the U.S. Asians are underrepresented in leadership in general, but if there's one industry that has more Asian leaders than others, it's tech. Tech is also based in San Francisco, the first city of Asian America.

\> we've seen a massive arrival of smart and hardworking educated mainlanders arrive to western nations such as Canada

Not only smart and hardworking, but more importantly, assertive and unafraid to claim their rights. Those mainlanders don't feel any need to act like guests in America, unlike the generations of Asian Americans that came before them.

All this is great, but remember, it could change in a flash.

    https://www.amazon.com/American-Exodus-Second-Generation-Americans-1901-1949-ebook/dp/B07V2BXLJZ

In the first decades of the 20th century, almost half of the Chinese Americans born in the United States moved to China—a relocation they assumed would be permanent. At a time when people from around the world flocked to the United States, this little-noticed emigration belied America’s image as a magnet for immigrants and a land of upward mobility for all. Fleeing racism, Chinese Americans who sought greater opportunities saw China, a tottering empire and then a struggling republic, as their promised land.

For anybody interested in Japan's motivations in China during WW2, see below. They were being used and funded by guess who? The WEST. Hirohito was a puppet.

https://imgur.com/a/vSkBpyR

They were promised (seduced) into the chance to rise up with the west as "honorary aryans" and then nuked at the end, tossed aside.

This just goes to show what happens to white worshipping asian nations who are happy to slaughter their brothers and sisters for acceptance into western power circles.

PS - Switzerland was key to this, there's plenty to learn about the true history if you read the book below and one I took snippets of

Outlaws of the Marsh (This was a very fun read back when I was in highschool, there's a bit of dark humor too. Of the books listed here Outlaws of the Marsh is the funniest and very epic)

Romance of the Three Kingdoms (The novel is intriguing and epic but might get too confusing depending on the age and person reading it- lots of characters and politics both personal and national)

Journey to the West (The Monkey King. I admit I personally don't like the Monk & Su Wu Kong chapters and mostly enjoyed the Su Wukong's creation, desk job in heaven chapters and his rebellion. My man Su Wukong should've rebelled again, screw working for a living in heaven and their stupid workplace bureaucracy)

What are some habits you guys do or picked up lately that has benefitted you?

I recently read this hella insightful book Deep Work.

It recommended routinely practicing memorizing the order of a deck of cards using a memorization technique to improve your concentration. It feels like the brain workout equivalent of doing heavy deadlifts.

Also, other book recommendations are greatly appreciated brehs.

I haven't read this yet (it's on my list) but it seems like one of the few books on the vietnam war that actually outlines the atrocities. I'm definitely curious to hear from anyone who has read it and their thoughts.

It's a phase he's going through. Trying to separate himelf from the other "slopes" and "gooks" by trying to identify as just "murican".

He will learn that no matter how much red, white and blue he bleeds, when veneer is scratched most muricans will view him as a slant eyed perpetual foreigner/perpetual outsider.

And murica is #1 bc they have/had the military tech to rape farming based countries back around the world and steal their resources for pennies on the dollar.

I'd recommend u suggest he reads up "Kill anything that moves" https://www.amazon.com/Kill-Anything-That-Moves-American/dp/0805086919

and articles/books about the pheonix program https://theinternationalreporter.org/2016/02/08/the-cias-phoenix-program-in-vietnam-and-the-war-on-terror-review-of-doug-valentines-book/

I'd also try to point him to the fact that the murican invasion of vietnam was a continuation of the viet vinh freedom fighters trying to liberate themselves from the white french colonizing them.

I'd hint to him that vietnam was invaded/occupied/colonized by white french and that Ho Chi Minh was a freedom fighter who idolized murica and her "Bill of Rights" until the US president at the time used him to fight the japanese and threw him away like garbage after WW2.

Also the French tried to get murica to drop a nuclear bomb on Hanoi to help their colonial occupier asses out.

And how after murica "liberated" France from the big bad Nazis, Murica then helped/armed/funded the French to reinvade/occupy Vietnam.

I'd try to say , "you know, one of the reasons the richest most influential ethnic group in murica got to where they are because they live by a motto:NEVER FORGET.

They remember their history and teach their kids their history. And from that history they draw an unrivaled strength & drive to succeed in murica".
