Alan Sepinwall is one of the best and most well known TV show reviewers out there. A lot of the book is rehashed copies of his reviews that he made during the series run but with added and edited details with perspectives he's gained since the show aired. There is also new material in there that made me think differently about the show. Here is an excerpt:

The Cookies:

Ingredients:

2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1 cup butter, softened

1 1/2 cups white sugar

1 egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Blue food dye (I started with one tsp and added more to make it darker - add this into the wet ingredients.)

Blue/green sprinkles on the tops.

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). In a small bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside.In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in egg and vanilla. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients. Roll rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls, and place onto ungreased cookie sheets.Bake 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden. Let stand on cookie sheet two minutes before removing to cool on wire racks.

I'd really recommend this book by Thomas Powers. It's well-documented (and I tend to agree with his argument, just because I believe that Heisenberg's virtue in his work forged his ethics.) I also think this was more of the subtext of why Walter White went by "Heisenberg" as an alias, referencing this exact role.

Do yourself a favor and get the entire album. It's amazing, and that's not even the best song on there:

Protip: Forget the flavoring and coloring and instead use [this!] (http://www.amazon.com/Frosting-Creations-Flavor-Mix-Cotton/dp/B007EWGWUE) I made two batches, one with food coloring and flavoring, and one with the cotton candy stuff. Cotton candy one turned out much better taste and color wise.
