I'd be pretty pissed about that. But yeah without load resistors, if the new lights are LEDs then you will still have the same issue. You'll need something like this to prevent it.

It's pretty straightforward to install, just Google it or message me if you need help with them. I'd recommend mounting them on metal where they won't come into contact with plastic though as they may heat up.

I had some off amazon with the Whistler mod already done (black inside bezels) and they were fantastic. I think these were them.

This thing has saved my ass more times than I can count but also remember to not rely on it entirely. Sometimes cops don't leave their radar guns on all the time and only turn it on once you're in view and at that point you're screwed. But yeah, it's a must for any Camaro owner as I'm sure you're aware that this car does not want to go slow. Well worth the price as insurance rates only go up with points and tickets can be expensive, too

You may look into this I have not done much research on it myself but could be the easiest solution I've seen.

See, the Camaro sends the video signal through 1 pin on a large connector (compared to 2 'pins' on the composite plug). This makes any install harder. If you look at the PDF posted on camaro5 for HD Link you'll see what I mean.

What I showed you are all 'stock' options. A system like this will work just fine, and you could probably get it at any shop for probably less than $200 parts and labor.

I got one of these installed for my sister's mustang as a birthday gift. (a shop by her has a lifetime warranty on wiring work, so it's good if something goes wrong, she can just take it to them)

It all depends on what you want and price range. This camera and screen are better than the bundle I posted above, but the prices show.

I suggest either figuring out if you are going to do this yourself, or if you're going to take it to a shop. Then you need to pick out what style you want.

If you pick one of the amazon options, and are doing it yourself, I suggest you use an add a circuit. Use this for your + wire, ground (-) to basically anywhere on the car body. At least for the mirror.

A lot of people (myself included) use Speed Engineering and are very happy with them. The only thing you'll need are a couple of lap clamps for the header to off-road pipe connection since the ones that come with the headers are poo. You use the OEM ones for connecting the off-road pipe to the catback.

If you want a set with cats you CAN use these with some custom setup but I would say at that point your better off going with Texas Speed.

I have had this brake kit on my Camaro since October and had zero issues. They were a great value and the zinc coating has kept the rotors clean and black everywhere the pad doesn’t touch. I don’t know whether it voids the warranty but doing brake work shouldn’t do that in a rational world, theoretically anyway ;)

I feel your boyfriends pain. I got a pair of seat side holders on ebay. The seats are tight enough against the side console that they wedge in there perfectly. I have a 6th Gen with peanut butter leather interior and it actually also matched perfectly too

If I know for sure it was stainless I was going to go at it with some 0000 steel wool. I read that it's a bad idea to use that on chromed metal.

I also added the armorall tire shine on top of the plastidipped wheels. Someone on the camaro6 forums recommended it to help increase the life of the coating and ease cleaning.

I didn't take the wheels off the car because I didn't have a good pinch weld jack support....I didn't even take off the lug nuts since we can't rotate the wheels anyway. For protecting my brakes from overspray I cut strips from a plastic painting sheet.

You're only using 1/2 the wiring complexity -- I've seen simpler kits as well so in the case of the part above it might be something redundant.

Another thought would be to take the kit, install it so that it controls the stock light location bulbs in the stock tail lamps for the inner and outer lights -- and for the ones in the middle, add a couple of LED lights so that you have a light "in between" -- so one of the two LEDs would sit on the right lamp near the split, and the other on the left lamp near the split on the other side -- and you'd get the 3-sequence effect but with two lamps.

Just some crazy thoughts. I think it'd be pretty cool.

I’d replace the taillights. Easy and relatively cheap. I’m putting these on my ‘15 SS next year. For now I just have smoked covers on it.

But I’m a big fan of the blackout look. May not be for everyone. I also tinted the the side markers and third brake light.

If you go to just do the pads it shouldn't be more than a couple hundred bucks. I can almost guarantee you that they wont use Brembo pads. If they claim they do, make them show you the box.
